That’ll never happen again though, little bit burned out after that week and won’t have that kind of time again for the foreseeable future. Hoping for a chance at going toe to toe for a Bloodstone medal with some decent spotlights this week.

With about a day and a half of the challenge to go, we're in ninth place on the spotlight leaderboard on Bloodstone. That's an immense effort.

Last night Harmonix announced on their livestream that select RBN songs will be back as regular DLC.

• There will be re-releases of RBN songs every week, as rewinds
• Use the rockband.com/request page to let staff know which RBN songs you'd like to get back first
• No entitlements since it couldn't be done. If you already bought a RBN song, you will have to pay again to get it in RB4.

The 2x Eiffel 65 tracks are almost certainly making a coming back. I'm also hoping for Rival Sons, Band of Skulls to come back as well as the handful of other indie songs I picked up years ago.

I wish they’d put this much effort into relicensing and releasing Lego rock band stuff

That said, hoping they’ll rerelease the Seether, Evanescence and Eiffel 65 tunes - those plus L:RB would give me my full library back!

I think they're still putting out the older disc rewinds too, plus there are a few songs they've licenced for Dropmix that I'd like in Rock Band too. Hopefully that means that Rock Band still has a pulse and isn't about to be shuttered.

I heard something about changes to Rivals XP based on community feedback that were announced last night on the live stream. I don't know anything more than that however as /I didn't watch it.

The DLC has been limping along for a wee while now to be fair. I mean no offence to the likes of Len, Matchbox Twenty and Jesus Jones, but it’s not earth shaking stuff. They’re not even getting enough out per week for regular song packs anymore.

Afraid not - I’ll be out of the loop for a few weeks though, I’m not sure I have what it takes to be competitive next season - I’ve put a lot of time in this season.

Just updated the first post with the 5 new songs that are free. That brings the total to 119 now for Rock Band 4 after you include the Rivals and all the freebies.

• Radiohead - Creep (Rewind - Part of the Rock Band 1 Disc Export)

Season 6 is going to be themed around the history of Rock Band, so expect rewinds (maybe more from Lego Rock Band?), RBN come backs, and (at a guess) new songs will likely be from artists who have featured on the previous games I imagine.



DELIST NOTICE

10 years later and H-BlockX - "Countdown To Insanity" is due to be removed from purchase. It came free in the EU bonus songs for RB1s disc release, however the licence for the disc export wouldn't allow for those ones to work on XB1 and PS4 so need to be repurchased. So if you really want that song you have a few days/weeks to buy it before it's gone for good.
