That's going to be truly impossible for us

That would require being promoted to the Diamond tier Rival's week ending 6th June (we are currently in the league below that one - platinum). That's 3 weeks to get a promotion.

I've just had an email about a new Rock Band survey. One of the questions is: "How would you rank these recent Weekly Challenges, from your MOST favorite (1) to LEAST favorite (12)?"

That's going to be tricky. They can't *all* be 12.

"Is there anything else you'd like to tell us?"
"Where's my legacy adapter :x "

I had the same problem :slol: I just ranked them in a random order. 12 is a lot to remember and they've been mostly terrible in the last month or so

A survey is a good sign they're not going to close shop/end rock band DLC I guess

Interesting that there's a question on if you've bought DLC because it's been featured in a Challenge. I really hope the majority answer "No" to that. Doubt it, though :(

I hit no too. The few I have bought that were spotlights were songs I'd have bought regardless. (Actually I think I bought a green day song :fp: )

Most players are the same. It's only the top two leagues who need to to stay up there, and I would think a handful of the top bands in our current league who float between this one and the one above us. There's no need to buy dlc is our league or below.

I noticed on my phone your grinding out the drums. I'll try and do some too tonight and not leave it till the last few hours on a Tuesday like I usually do

THE ROCK BAND COMPANION APP V2.0 IS NOW AVAILABLE!
Image

Hey everyone! In support of our Season 1 announcement, we are releasing an upgrade to the Rock Band Companion App! The whole experience has been improved, with new features that support everyone, regardless of whether you are in a crew or not. Dig into the details below.

Image

First up, we’ve added a Song List! It features a sortable, complete collection of every song in Rock Band 4.

Image

You can filter just like you can in-game, but in the App, you've got some added functionality to work with! You can choose to view your owned songs, the entire Music Store, or just what you've added to your wishlist. Active filters are highlighted to display which are in use, and there's even a Reset All button to revert to no filters! Easy. Simple. Clean.

Image

Additionally, each song has a details view that display a TON of info! Songs are dynamically tagged with Rivals Challenge Icons during an active Challenge, while new songs and soon-to-expire songs will also be marked! On top of name and artist, length, difficulty, genre, and album art, it also shows the score and difficulty combo of your selected instrument (there's even an easy swap to check a different instrument!). And as you may have noticed, it also shows the otherwise-hidden Band Difficulty Tier AND lists how many solos an instrument has. If you're convinced by a song's lovely page, you can add it right to your wishlist or buy it on the spot.

Image

We've also added leaderboards to give you quick and easy access to your position. We've got Disc Songs Score, Skill, Gold Stars, Crimson Stars, Expert FCs, and Total Stars, along with a newcomer in the form of Lifetime Rivals Points. See how you stack up in any situation with just a few taps!

And fear not, Crew-related leaderboards are also included. Spotlight Score and Weekly XP leaderboards can be found, and you can even check out other Crews to see their projected Rivals Points, the average of their Spotlight and XP placements.

Image

The Rivals Hub also has some sleek changes, such as that Browse All Songs in This Challenge button you see above. It opens a sorted library of just the Challenge-eligible songs, allowing you to check their details or add them to your wishlist,. If you click through to the Spotlight Songs, you can see the scores on them, of course, but you can also jump directly to a purchase screen, letting you grab them on your way home Thursday and have them waiting for you when you're ready to play.

Speaking of Spotlight Scores, we've added another new feature to the Companion App, where the Spotlight Songs list will show relative percentiles of all 12 scores, allowing you to quickly see which tracks you should hit up for the biggest improvement! It's pretty great, if we say so ourselves.

Read on for a full list of Patch Notes for the Rock Band Companion App:
  • Filter songs by genre, decade, source, difficulty, length, number of vocal parts, primary vocalist gender, freestyle parts, solos, or a combination of all the above. Applied filters are highlighted to quickly see which ones are in use
  • Sort by Song name, artist, difficulty, source and stars just like in-game.
  • Ability to display only songs you own or the entire available DLC library
  • List all songs and see album art, artist, title, score/difficulty, and useful information like new DLC, songs with expiring licenses, etc.
  • Change on the fly which instrument displays scores
  • Ability to display only songs you own, the entire available DLC library, or songs on your wishlist
  • Song Details screen with album art, title, artist, length, decade, genre, and difficulty, including band
  • From the Song Details screen you can now buy any song you don't own or add to your wishlist.
  • Browse all entries in all Crew leaderboards, instead of just the ones by your Crew
  • See other Crews' projected Rivals Points on Crew leaderboards
  • Relative tier percentiles added to each Spotlight score, so you can see which of the 12 Spotlight scores have the most room for improvement
  • New Lifetime Rivals Points leaderboard added
  • You can directly purchase Spotlight songs by tapping on the Buy It Now button in the Spotlight screen
  • You can list all Weekly Challenge songs by tapping on the Browse All Songs In This Challenge button in the Rivals Hub
  • Pressing on a notification now automatically opens the DLC announcement
  • From the Options menu it's now possible to directly visit the song request page
  • On Android the application is now more stable and requires less memory to run
  • On Android 6+, images now properly cache as they did on Android 4 and 5
  • Changes to Awesomeness Detection to improve behavior
  • Various fixes and tweaks

http://www.harmonixmusic.com/blog/the-r ... available/

Seems really fast! And it also shows your percentages of the crews weekly scores which is useful. It highlights the areas you can boost your team with the least effort :datass: the only problem is everyone will have that information :dread:

DLC DISCUSSION: THE ISLEY BROTHERS!
Image

This week in Rock Band 4, take a trip with us, as we go back in time to the Fabulous Fifties.

Few songs are as iconic as The Isley Brothers' 1959 hit “Shout”. The song (which was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame back in 1999) has become a staple at sporting events and weddings around the world. The vocals are incredibly difficult, as one would expect, with a heavy focus and minimal time to breathe. You’ll have to follow the chart all over for the full length of the song. Drums have a continuous shuffle that will test the speed of your left hand. Here’s your chance to get a bit softer AND a little bit louder now in Rock Band.

Sucks only one song, I got excited it was a pack when I saw "The Isley Brothers!" as an announcement. It's strawberry floating hard too, especially on guitar (despite it having a low rating) so I may have let the team down with the guitar score this week

This Weeks Challenge: Sing Your Heart Out (feat. Chris Cornell)

twitter.com/RockBand/status/865280850358874112

Seems to include any 5 star/devil tiered song on vocals. Plus they've added in the Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple of the Dog tracks.

We are in for a good shot at a promotion this week, we are currently just hovering outside of the promo zone. I played a bit but thought it best to save some Spotlight score to boost us in the last hours when other bands think they're safe. I think I can get another 200,000-300,000 spotlight from the strawberry float ups I made. And Chris and Sefi have already put in a crazy number of plays so we are well up on XP for the first time ever!
