Think I need to forward a port, doesn't seem to automatically find its own route. If I give Spring an already forwarded port, reckon that would work?

TBS is the mortal enemy of RTS. Although I'm a devout fan of Civ IV and the old X-COM. Despite not being the best player, I do really well when playing GR Civ IV games.

The heated debate that will follow Dawn of War 2 and Starcraft 2 as to which is better, Zerg or Tyranids? I will play both, naturally. Also, Red Alert 3.

Zerg > Tyranids.

Anyone up for some TA fun this afternoon?

I also forgot to add how awsome Warcraft III is.

TBS games are for people who can't cope with the speed of the RTS.

Gameplay videos of how much actually happens on screen in an average RTS.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

QFT, Also, why anyone would ever choose to play an RTS on a console compared to a PC may as well go shoot themselves, they sicken me.

That's different though, I wouldn't class that as a typical RTS. Pikmin is probably one of the best games on the Gamecube.

I think of pikmin as more of a squad based game tbh, something more like Cannon Fodder.

Rations for surviving the holocaust

Food/Wood/Gold/Stone, Research Points.

Your favorite RTS platform

PC, as if there's any other

Most treasured RTS

Age of Empires II

Hopes and dreams for the future of the genre
World in Conflict to get a proper skirmish mode in it's next expansion pack

Best weapon for destroying the RTS hating infidels

Tutonic Knights

Love the genre, and currently really hating that World in Conflict didn't have a proper skirmish mode, almost as bad as Sins not having a proper campaign.

Nah - it even has a simplified version of the traditional resource management for creating more Pikmin. Squad based tactics games like Cannon Fodder usually don't allow you to create more units during the mission... you only get what you take in.

The bunker has been breached boys! Get 'im.

Played the CoH beta. Liked what it was doing but it chugged on my recently bought laptop so there was no way in hell I was buying/upgrading for it. But lappy had no problem with the WiC beta or the RA3 beta.

I do a lot of RTS betas it seems.
