Another 6 mile one today, slightly faster than the last time too. Wasn't even out of breath at the end which was an odd feeling.

Good man! Glad to hear improvements. Are you actually enjoying going out for the runs?

Kind of. I enjoy the social aspect of it as I usually go out with the same guy and we chat all the way around, which of course is another indication that there's more to give as you shouldn't be able to talk if you're trying hard enough. If he's not in work on a running day its rare I'll go on my own as I find it really boring and I don't like having my hearing blocked with music as our route is a small country lane.

Its definitely getting easier to push more and go further now though, which in itself is the big motivator.

That and not being a fat banana split any more

Yeah you definitely should not be capable of talking all the way round . You must look like those single mum types at the gym who hold onto the sides of the inclined treadmill and talk to their single mum type mates the entire time.

Off to Parkrun in a bit. Hopefully they won't ask me for £1 when I get there!

Running 8m 30 miles so it's other like we're walking around. I think when we're going for it we get into the 7s but it's unpleasant to say the least.

24m 4s today. Felt like I was going to throw up at the finish line.

Under 24 minutes next week!

Done the 6 miles every week since I started, although the guy I run with insists we do 6.25 so he can call it a 10k

4 miles at the start of the week, 6.2 at the end. I'm gooseberry fool in the heat though, really slow.

The weight is dropping off now, I've now lost 2 stone :toot: Target is to get to 11st or close by my wedding next year.

That's really decent mate. Aside from the weight, do you feel good with it? Like, can you bounce up the stairs, do you feel like you're walking taller, etc?

Cheers. I wouldn't say I've ever really been unfit, just overweight. I've always walked everywhere I can as I love doing that. I definitely feel better about myself though, feel my Mrs finds me more attractive, don't feel like a greasy fathe split when we're out.

Just did my furthest distance, 7.47 miles/12km. strawberry floating shattered now but it's satisfying.

Now to undo it all later with food and beer :datass:

I went this morning and managed 24:51! I've lost over two minutes!!

I live next to an amazing park and have done for nine months but have never bothered using it to run in. I'm gonna strap my knee up and go for a proper run tomorrow morning, and I'll report back if I remember to do it on how well I managed.
