Where do you fall on the Sandwich Alignment Chart? Are you an Ingredient Purist or a Structural Purist? Both? Neither? How conservative are you on this most pressing of issues?

I am a True Neutral. A hot-dog is a sandwich.

by more heat than light
Something between two slices of bread is a sandwich. A hot-dog is a hot-dog.

I guess that makes me a Structure Purist.

Structural neutral, Ingredient purist.

We need to be on the lookout for sandwich anarchists :x .

Edit: I totally thought this was a Moggy thread. Winckle is now posting with that same vibe :toot: .

How can anybody even remotely consider a pop tart a sandwich?

Structural purist, ingredient rebel - there are very few savoury foodstuffs that aren't significantly improved by being stuffed inside a sandwich as anyone who has had the pleasure of a pie barm will testify.

An ice cream waffle is a sandwich, but a hot dog is not a sandwich.

Waffles can be used as a sandwich filling but they cannot take the place of the bread.

I wanna say Im a Structural purist, ingredient rebel. Its a sandwich when food is sandwiched between 2 other pieces of food. Its not a sandwich when you use a roll, a taco, a wrap or anything like that. But I wont get upset if someone says Subway make sandwiches, not sure why but that seems to be the only exception to the rule to me.

My only real rule would be that it has to involve bread. A waffle is not bread and so the ice cream waffle wouldn’t count.

I probably would never describe a hot dog or hamburger as a sandwich but would agree that they technically are the same thing.
