"Welcome to This Is Your Life - In Games! I'm Michael Aspel, and since being axed by the BBC, I've descended into a life of debauchery and self abuse. You wouldn't think it to look at me, would you? Well, I'd just as sooner rob your gran and then blow the cash on crystal meth as I would read out your life story. But when MK offered me the chance to present a thread on the mighty GRCade, I literally jumped at the chance. After all - I need to look busy whilst Interpol are investigating me for the terabytes of CP they found on my laptop! It's not mine though - I borrowed the damn thing of Chris Langham!

Anyway, what's this thread all about? Well, it's about telling your life story through the games you played. The games we play are closely linked to the times we played them - special memories can be attached to games simply because we played them at a particular time in our lives. This is a chance for you to record that story for posterity - to share with others what you've played and the history that shall be forever linked to them. The future is so often the focus of the gaming community - what's next? What now? When will it be out? But the industry and the community surrounding it can only ever mature truly when we learn the value of the past and learn to treasure it. We're only just starting to get there with the advent of this gen's retro re-releases and virtual console emulation.
