What? She’s slave hitler that ate sentient beings.

She was reforming.

Yep. And she was still the most likeable character.

I will say that, doubts about Section 31 and Starfleet Academy aside, it does feel like Nu-Trek is finally starting to get it right.
Lower Decks and Prodigy have both been fantastic additions, doing something different and broadening the audience even if Lower Decks especially didn't click with everyone.

And then Strange New Worlds just got it right from the word go. It's still for me the best first season any Star Trek show has had.

Then Picard finally got it right with it's third season. Giving us a reunion that respects every character and a send-off that so far has been mostly wonderful.

It's washed the bad taste left by the early Discovery and Picard seasons away.

Star Trek

EDIT: Terry Matalas really needs to get his own show in this TNG era. I never thought I'd say it, but a Seven show on the Titan would be quite fun.

I'd still like something a bit more directly DS9-related though. So far it's been a great place to pinch things from but apart from that one episode of Lower Decks it's been absent. Something more directly linked with that show would be nice.

^think you guys would like this episode of a podcast I listen to. Actually made me want to get into it. Focuses mainly on TNG.

I particularly enjoyed the analysis of what they believe to be the worst line in the entire series:
"A friend for Wharf?"

There are now so many episodes of Star Trek that if you watched them at the original/normal airing rate of 1 per week it would take 17 years to watch them all.

To binge watch all of them non-stoo, not even stopping for sleep, it would still take about a month.

Paramount have cancelled Star Trek Prodigy, so no second season.
They're also removing it from Paramount Plus in order to write off the cost of making it.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What the ever-loving strawberry float!

I'm gutted. Absolutely gutted.

Apparently it's to write off the costs or some other strawberry floating bullshit.

I'm so angry right now. Prodigy was strawberry floating excellent and I was really looking forward to getting to see more of that crew and Janeway.

And it's going from P+ as well so you can't even watch it. What a bunch of utter banana splits.

It's still there for now, but yeah, this is why I've been picking up physical media again. Especially Star Trek.

But there is no physical copy of Prodigy that I know of.

EDIT: There is a Blu Ray of the first 10 episodes available in the states. So I've ordered that.

It's got the best theme of all the newer shows as well.

Some hope.

Production on season 2 is continuing, but Paramount+ will not be taking it. They'll have to shop it around to other services to have any chance of getting it out.
But season 1 is getting nuked from orbit.

Why would you cancel the very good Prodigy but keep making the very gooseberry fool Lower Decks?

We need a third party, someone not involved in GR to run such a thing. I nominate stool bloke.

Lower Decks is really good. I dunno if you haven't tried it or whatever. I appreciate it's very fanservicey, but as someone who grew up with 90s Trek it's pandering to me.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:
