I went to the Finals today and was so annoyed that Federer pulled out having travelled from South Wales. Fair play McEnroe, Murray, Henman and Cash put on a good show.

Fair play to Murray though. He certainly didn't have to answer the call.

Especially since the crowd actively supported Federer over Murray.

"I was playing Mario Kart on my sofa when I got the call," Murray said. "I was winning at that. It's better than my tennis at the moment," he joked.

Australian open starts tomorrow.

Really open again. Djokovic obviously would be the favourite. Not sure about Murray, Federer or Nadal.

There's a lot of unknowns this year - nobody really knows what Rafa has left any more, Roger is classy but creaky with his age (could easily get blasted off the court by another top10 player in form). Murray is potentially a bit of a dark horse if he really has found his pre-surgery form, but nobody knows whether that's the case or not.

Novak is probably the favourite, but he doesn't produce the tip-top tennis he used to. Could be a surprise winner in any one of this year's slams.

Or one of the above players could see it as an opportunity to have one final great year and take a bunch. It's a shame Murray had his surgery/form problems since end of 2013, could have really added to his slam tally I reckon otherwise.

I think Rafa will do everything in his power to win the French this year.

Anyone been watching the Aussie Open? Murray just took Dimitrov in four to reach the quarters and had to endure some of the most off the wall interview questions I've ever seen.

Growing more and more confident that another Slam final is on the horizon for Murray. And then, who knows?

He looks like he has his winning mentality back, definitely. I do think Nadal will have him if they both get to the semi-final of this one, but I could see him doing something with a bit of crowd support behind him at Wimbledon.

Well, he's beat Nadal before at the Aus Open. He likes playing him on that surface, could be very close match.

He's got to get past Krygisoios first though, who's pretty flashy and can get a surprise win if he's not careful.

Kyrgios will presumably have the home support behind him as well. It'll be an interesting match, for sure.

Awesome match, Murray is finally back. Gimme a Rafa Murray semifinal and I'll be a deliriously happy man.

The Aussies will be going mental for him, the hype already is mad. Count down timers to the match on random tv shows and gooseberry fool.

Was a good match last night, commentators were annoyingly biased in favour of the other lad so god knows how bad it'll be tomorrow.

Thought the end interview questions were hilarious, enjoyed murray's answers

Murray did well I thought, it was quite a comical interview. Is he not well liked over in Aus then? I wouldn't have thought the commentators would be particularly biased towards Dimitrov.

Lost the first set. Hard to see him coming back from this. Doesn't seem to be able to beat Berdych. Bit of a bogey player.
