There a lot of players that seems more concerned about their twitter/facebook accounts than actually playing tennis at the moment!

Heather Watson & Ana Ivanovic in particular!

Another underwhelming performance from Murray.

Er, really? With the margins as fine as they are I didn't think there was much he could have done unless he was playing spectacularly. Anderson is a good player and his serving was unplayable throughout. Murray not reaching a QF for the first time in five years is hardly underwhelming.

To be fair, give credit to Anderson, he played sublime. Murray definitely has psychological issues with the Louis Armstrong court though, he's always struggled on there.

Yeah, it's not like Anderson is a total chump. He's 14th in the world, and being 6'8" gives him a natural advantage when it comes to serving. If someone like that is serving well and his net game is solid (commentators were saying it's the best he's ever played) then he's always got a chance. Murray missed a few too many break opportunities, and he really needs to work on his second serve speed, because when his first serve percentage drops he puts himself under a lot of pressure. But he fought his way back into the game - he just needed one more opportunity, I think, but Anderson was pretty ruthless and in good form. No shame in that defeat. It's not like Nadal getting knocked out of Wimbledon in the second round in successive years.

Didn't Anderson break the top ten recently as well? I was saying this all of last night. If he hasn't then, I suspect he will do now. Certainly no pushover.

This Tsonga/Cilic game is epically entertaining.

Murray could have improved his serve. If you want to beat guys like Anderson then your serve needs to be spot on. Otherwise you won't have no chance. And his forehand wasn't exactly great during that match. He was very passive at times and allowing Anderson to dictate.

Where as Federer against Isner was similar type of match. Just Federer won the big points.

I thought Murray has been disappointing since winning Montreal. Dimitrov should have beaten him in Cincinatti, but choked pretty badly. I thought last week at times he didn't really play his best.

Anderson may have been in form, but he is the type of player Murray should be beating if he wants to win another grand slam. Anderson had never beaten a top 10 player in a grand slam nor had he made it to the quarters ever. Losing 7-0 in a tie break to him was a surprise.

Feel sorry for Wawrinka and Federer as I expect they will have a long match and Djokovic will be fully fresh after this.

Both men were short matches and that horrible bad tempered girl lost. Perfect!

Guess the divine comedy were right about Serena, it is hard to get by when your bum is the size of a small country.

Rapidly-greying is Mediocre to Average at games :fp:
