Yes Inverdale made stupid comments, but the person who he made it at forgives him and works with him on ITV, so can everyone else. He didn't ask McEnroe about beards like Clare Balding does. She seems to have very little tennis knowledge yet BBC seem to put her everywhere. I'm presuming she's going to get match of the day soon.

So please BBC, go back to the old format for people who come back from work and you know want to watch tennis.

I'm actually staggered by how bad it is. Whoever commissioned this new format has an awful lot to answer for. It's as if it's been put together by someone who has no knowledge or care for the sport. It's very insulting.

Amazing match. Really pleased Brown won. And yes I thought his tattoo was Bob Marley too.

What a match. What a performance. Thoroughly deserved after such a ballsy display against Rafa, seemed very humble in the interview too. Made up for him.

Can't believe Nadals form on grass in the last four years.

He made it to 5 finals in a row between 06-11. Yeah his opponents have played well. But you still expect Nadal to see it out and come through that. Djokovic, Murray or Federer would not have lost to those guys Rafa has played in the last few years.

Guessing it will be more likely a Djokovic/Murray final with Nadal gone.

I meant Murray.

Going to put a bet on Troicki beating Brown next game.

Don't count Federer out mate, he's not a spent force yet.

I can't watch this new highlights show. Having an audience adds absolutely nothing.

It's like someone watched Saturday night football on Sky, Top Gear, The Claire Balding Show, League of Their Own, and The Last Leg and thought to combine THEM ALL to create the shittiest strawberry floating hour in the history of BBC2.

Nadal and Brown's match yesterday was so entertaining. I like Nadal but I also like to see the "little" guys do well.

The Clare Balding embarrassment is typical focus-group led twaddle by someone chasing ratings in a PUBLIC SECTOR BROADCASTER and completely misunderstanding the needs of the audience.

I find Raonic the most miserable banana split on planet earth. I hope Krygios prevails.

Nick Kyrgios, sporting what appears to be a Wimbledon gift shop headband, is giving the court two crowd the full Nick Kyrgios experience this afternoon. After battling away for well over an hour against the mighty Milos Raonic serve, the fired-up Aussie earns three break points with some brilliant shot-making.

The Canadian plays his way out of trouble, as cool as you like, and Kyrgios collects his first warning of the day for chucking his racquet into the crowd.

He's since taken the second set to level it up at 1-1.

EDIT - Gasquet 2 up against Dimitrov! Woop woop!

Watson vs Williams in BBC1 now.

I think the most fun I have watching the tennis at Wimbledon is hoping Serena Williams loses.

Watson can't seem to get a first serve in.

Williams is so unpleasant.

Would be amazing if after all Serena's shouting this set Watson just pinched it at the end

Might help if she didn't fault every single first serve though :fp:

Edit: 10/11 First serve faults in this game so far, including one double fault.

11/12 in the end, strawberry float knows how Serena didn't do something there.
