It's a privilege to have seen these two down the years. An absolute privilege.

It hurts, but it hurts less than 2014. A hard won title for Federer. Now I need to go lie down in a dark room for a week :(

Amazing to think that it had been five and a half years since fed and Nadal met in an open final.

Canada losing the Davis cup match because the player smashed it at the crowd in anger and hit the umpire in the face

That was mental. Full force right into his eye. It's gonna be some mess tomorrow.

He couldn't do that again so effectively if he had another thousand tries, ha ha.

Murray just lost to a serve and volley player again

Yeah, he needs to look at that closely. He also needs to add more serve and volley into his own game as he's got great skills around the net.

Where's Moggy?

He was telling me a few pages back that Federer is too old to be a contender against Murray.

Another big title and he will be favourite for Miami now. Murray and Djokovic have got a lot of points to defend. Where as Federer doesn't have many as he missed most of last year. He could be world number 1 by the end of the year.

I only said that as you said Murray had benefitted from Federer being injured. Federer is too old now, it's a credit to him that he can still win things when he should really be living in a retirement home with 24 hour nursing care.

We'll see how many grand slams Federer wins this year...

He's already won as many as Murray did last year.

I actually completely forgot that the Aussie Open had already taken place this year. It seems a hell of a long time ago. :fp:  Very impressive for a great grandfather that was born during WW2.

Another big title for Federer.

Nadal for me should be judged on what he does on the clay. Don't think he has the game to beat Federer on hard courts currently.

As great as Nadal is, he doesn't seem to have a plan b. Roger is able to adapt his play to combat his opponents strategies better than anybody else, ever.

Also, I don't enjoy woman's tennis, but well done Jo.
