That is desperately disappointing. Especially to not even get to the business end of the tournament and go out against someone in the top 10 or 20.

With Djokovic out so early, there was a sense that this was Murray, which was a little premature, but he's gone out way before that early exit could have any beneficial effect.

I knew this was going to happen when Djokovic was knocked out.

Come on dan, not hopeful though.

Well that's actually made it very exciting now! Anyone could win.

I'd love for Tsonga to finally win one.

Can't remember the last grand slam that was so open as this one is now.

Very shocked at Murray. This was a great chance for him to win this and put a marker down for the rest of the season. Poor from both him and Djokovic. Very poor.

Great though. :P

Shouldn't be a surprise though. He does always bottle the big matches.

Zverev got smashed to pieces by Federer. This is what Murray should have done! :x

You could argue Fed has much more experience of defeating serve and volley players from his earlier days

Mad that Federer has made it to the final, hope Nadal does too. Some nice comments from Federer just now too:

Rafa has presented me the biggest challenge, I think I played him too may times on clay early in my career.

I am probably his number one fan, his game is tremendous. We had some epic battles over the years and I think both of us would never have thought we would be playing here in a final.

I opened his academy last year. I told him I wish we could do a charity match or something – I was on one leg, he had a wrist injury, so we played some tennis with some juniors and that was the best we could do. It's very special for both of us.

So an all Williams final and (potentially) a Nadal/Federer final?

What is this 2005?

35 years old, has barely played tennis in a year and makes a GS final. I'm going to be devastated when he retires.

Federer.
