That's a bit harsh.

Nadal got destroyed by Djokovic in 2011 and 2012. He came back in 2013 and beat Djokovic like 6 times in a row that year. He had a hold over Djokovic before 2011.

He also has had a hold on Federer for 11 years. So you can't really say Federer has been the best to adapt to his opponents strategy. As it's taken him 11 years to adapt to Nadal. Nadal targeted his backhand for 11 years and he didn't adapt. Give Nadal a few months and I'm sure he'd probably beat Federer. Shame Federer is skipping the entire clay season besides french. Would have been interesting to see him against Nadal on the clay.

Yeah but Federer has done it without the drugs.

This year was Murray's chance to really push on, but it looks like he's just going backwards.

Technically that is cheating as it was two people playing against singles. :x

Someone told me yesterday that during an American tennis match that was going out on some obscure channel, a couple were audibly having sex in an apartment across the street or something and they had to stop the game. Is this true? How is this video not in the thread?!

It's the commentary that makes it.

So much for his domination.

He still has a lot to play for this year. But he really needs to improve his overall game especially the serve.

Murray loses again.

He has been abysmal this year.

Fognini bossing Sir Andy so far.

Not really surprising as Fognini pushed Nadal all the way last week and Murray just looks lost.

Fabio is my favourite player that isn't Scottish so I'm chuffed to bits for him. Murray just looks totally drained of confidence,it'll take a good run of wins to get that back.

I love Fabio though so I'm happy.

Murray took so long to get to number one that when he did it, may have caused to lose a lot of focus and desire now?

He has been out for a wee while, it can take time to get back up to speed. Just look at Novak.

Tigasefi has a point. Djokovic has been not himself since winning the French last year. Doubt it was anything due to injuries or else he wouldn't have got rid of his entire coaching team. He lost focus and motivation. Same can be said about Murray.

Djokovic and Murray have had a few niggling injuries. But Federer and Nadal missed quite a lot of tennis.

I mean you can blame injuries for one or two performances like this. But he's had like five or six performances that have been very unlike him.

It's too early to say he's done as Nadal and Federer proved this year. But Murray is following the pattern of what normal 30 year old tennis players go through. Most tennis players tend to decline at that age. It's perfectly normal especially for someone like Murray who has been playing at a high level for 11 years.

He needs to change his game slightly. He's not going to out defend everyone on the baseline in his thirties. Why Stan and Federer are successful at that age is due to keeping points short. Murray needs to be more aggressive and needs to improve his serve.

I'll tell you what, Novak is back.I watch a lot of tennis and going on how he looks against Thiem is like Novak of old. He's found his touch and he knows it, I reckon he'll be number one again in no time.

I'm gonna look for a dedicated tennis forum as I'd love to talk to other really passionate tennis fans.

Too bad there ain't a forum with decent folk on it, guess I'll just have to get a distorted mirror and talk to myself about tennis, the only problem there is that I'll disagree with everything I say.
