I'm not sure what any of you are talking about

He still reiterated the 'what's the point in voting' a few days ago. He never "flip flopped"

It did come about (and it was exclusive to the trees interview as far as I am aware) that Ed Milliband wanted grass roots activism/politics and that's exactly why Brand endorsed him. He made the point a number of times that voting for Labour would not fix everything the following day and if Ed Milliband had come out top today then that's when the real work would have started and people would need to start campaigning on important issues such as the monopoly the media have in this country.

And he actually urged everyone in Brighton to vote greens, not labour. Had Greens stood any chance of walking in to Number 10 with our current electoral system then he would have fully backed them instead.

I don't know why anyone brings up his wealth as some kind of point to nullify comments he makes. He acknowledged he would be taxed heavily under a labour government but still was happy to openly back them as there was a chance that politics in this country could be modernised.

Now that Brand's been exposed as a Labour shill, can we expect to see the 'Trews' disappear? This prat has zero credibility.

The way I see it, the people he was more likely to influence would be left of centre voters, and he told them not to vote. Could he be more responsible for a Tory government than anyone else with a large audience?

Doesn't he only occasionally appear on a BBC game show and that's about it?

He has shunned Hollywood and since been a campaigner.

I like the mcdonalds sign around his neck.

Look, I like the guy, despite his weird election madness deep down he's a nice person who just wants the best for everyone.

All his critics keep saying he's loaded, and he is, why is that a crime? No idea who these media companies are paying him???

Brand has trademarked his use of the word 'Revolution' (where the Love bit has backwards lettering) so that he can sell merchandise. POWER TO THE PEOPLE! What a strawberry floating fraud. Anyone falling for this crap shouldn't even be allowed to vote.

I'm sure the publisher trade marked it, once again, why can't he make money? Why is he a fraud?

All profits from Revolution and The Trews go to charities  good complaint though :fp: And the tshirts etc are "pay what you want". He has even let other people use "The Trews" logo and branding for their own channels.

He might be rich and have a god complex but at least he does more for other people than 90% of the people here is seems. It's easy to criticise someone over a keyboard

Brand aside (who I don't have a strong opinion on in all honesty), I hate this shitty argument. You can be against the excesses of unregulated big business and still be in favour of capitalism.

It was really ridiculous when the papers were attacking the occupy protesters, if they as much as bought food or drink they were smeared for being the same as what they protested against; despite food having nothing to do with an under regulated financial sector

The only thing he 'believes in' is himself. He's a narcissist. Deprive him of the oxygen of self-publicity and what is he left with? Some bloke on the cusp of his 40s rambling to his camera phone in his bedroom. It's quite comical, really. I dunno, perhaps that's the point.

But he gave Hollywood up to do his political thing (and sabotage that career as a result)

I'm sure if he was desperate for even more money and fame like you insinuate, then he would still do movies and not talk to YouTube and write a book where the profits go to charity

And photek, say what you want about Cameron but he's leader of one of the most powerful nations on earth; not bad going really.
