Great news.

CBS better sort out the audio sync issues with the Bluray release, desperately want to rewatch it before this starts.

You have Netflix? It's on there.

I do but Bluray or bust. Hopefully there's a reissue before it airs. If not, Netflix will do of course but I'd really love to see it in HD.

Best TV news since forever :o

I don't think I've ever been so excited about a TV show starting. The fact that Lynch will be directing them all and writing with Frost is amazing :datass:

Some things are in HD on Netflix but not Twin Peaks. It was on the service well before the Bluray transfer/remastering came out unfortunately.

Kyle MacLachlan Set To Return As Star Of ‘Twin Peaks’ Showtime Limited Series

MacLachlan helped make the announcement at TCA, coming out on stage unannounced to the Twin Peaks theme, offering Showtime topper David Nevins coffee with one of Agent Cooper’s favorite sayings, “Damn good coffee.”

“I’m very excited to return to the strange and wonderful world of Twin Peaks,” MacLachlan said. “May the forest be with you.”

The new Twin Peaks is set in the present day, more than two decades after the events in the first two seasons. It will continue the lore and story of the original series, with Lynch and Frost committed to providing long-awaited answers and, hopefully, a satisfying conclusion to the series.

I finished watching the series for the first time just last week, so I'm rather glad I don't have to wait 25 years for the conclusion. It was unlike anything else I've ever seen, and didn't really feel dated at all.

I've got my eye on the Blu-Ray box-set now, not least because I really want to see the movie.

Stay calm people.

Twin Peaks may not return after all, says David Lynch

David Lynch has suggested that Twin Peaks may not return to screens as previously announced.

The show's creator spoke to crowds at the opening of the Between Two Worlds exhibition in Brisbane, revealing that there are "complications" surrounding the project.

Twin Peaks returns: Everything we know so far about season 3

He added: "I'm not sure at this point if it's happening."

Fan site Welcome to Twin Peaks has suggested that while scripts for the project are finished, contract negotiations haven't been finalised.

Lynch also spoke about season three of Twin Peaks on ABC News show The Mix, saying that it would be "very special" to return to the show.

The Inland Empire director said: "I haven't returned yet and we're still working on the contract, but I love the world of Twin Peaks and I love those characters. And I think it will be very special to go back into that world."

Created by Lynch and Mark Frost, Twin Peaks first aired on ABC for two seasons in 1990. The series starred Kyle MacLachlan as Dale Cooper, an FBI special agent investigating the murder of homecoming queen Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee).

The show's revival was announced in October, before Lynch claimed that MacLachlan would be returning to his role.

Probably just a play to get more money right? Yeah that's it. It's definitely coming back. Definitely. Yeah.

Word is coming in that Showtime has apparently pulled the plug. No season 3.

Seemed inevitable after his comments a couple of weeks ago. Might as well cancel it. They have Lynch and Frost scripts though.
