Nearly at the end of series 1 . I've seen it before but I forgot a little how bloody good it is and how random and brilliant the story was,it was very ahead of its time as nothing like that had been on TV before.

Just finished season 2.

....What was that? :dread:

Does that mean Audrey/Pete are dead or are they in the castlist of returning characters? wtf was going on with that black lodge. I kind of get why Alan Wake didn't make any sense if they were using Twin Peaks as their biggest influence :slol:

I really need to get around to this soon.

I saw this pic in the GAF thread. Is it accurate to how things go?

I'll still watch them all regardless, but there might be some fast forwarding involved.

So I've tried so hard to get into this but having had to watch the pilot multiple times, which has to be up there with one of the slowest episodes in human history, how much does it pick up compared to the pilot?

I have been re-watching the show for the first time since it originally aired. I must be into the red episodes, because the quality has dropped and I'm losing interest, after loving season 1 and the start of season 2.

If you didn't enjoy the pilot you're quite possibly insane as it is one of the best episodes of anything ever.

Madness, I thought the first episode of The Wire was slow but this takes the biscuit.

Overly long too.

That picture is pretty accurate - the dip in quality in season two is a bit of a slog but it's all worth watching without skipping or else the really out-there stuff will make even less sense than it does anyway.

That all sounds about right, the show overall is quite strange in places which for me is something i just love about it. The part about Lynch leaving the show midway through season 2 is also true but trust me watch all of it, then watch 'Fire Walk With Me' which is a prequel and adds a lot more.

I've just finished episode 2-13

I loved the series. Hated the film - I'd skip it.

That overly long club scene with the obnoxious sound is one of the worst things I've ever seen.

I need to jump back into this, a friend lent me their boxsets at uni and basically eating breakfast before watching twin peaks for ages on an xbox and eventually going to studio was a staple for a while. I loved it. It started getting really strawberry floating weird with ufos and stuff, I can't remember why I stopped watching, I may even have finished it and just can't remember. Can anyone pm me some good links?

if you mean for downloads i've found it pretty tough to get but i know on dvd it's cheap

https://www.zavvi.com/dvd/twin-peaks-definitive-gold-box-edition/10072690.html?affil=thggpsad&switchcurrency=GBP&shippingcountry=GB&gclid=CjwKEAiA0fnFBRC6g8rgmICvrw0SJADx1_zAAlyIXf3gyk8UvLrwtZ0-_At9ejcOVtL6pILKnu5jchoCvkbw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=CLyZs7ewxNICFRKZdwodjWgPaA

and on blu ray its 24.99. I've been watching it on blu ray with all the added extras and you also get Fire Walk With Me

Less than a month the to go until season 3 so I've finally decided to start this for the first time. Gonna watch the first episode tonight. Not sure what to expect, tbh.

Ha! I thought that was one of the most amazing scenes I've ever seen in the cinema.

Given Harry Dean Stanton's prescence in one of the most recent trailers, I think anyone with an interest in watching S3 would do well to watch FWWM (and The Missing Pieces).

Hope you enjoy it, i've now rewatched the entire first and second series and about to watch Fire Walk With Me. I've already seen the Movie which i loved but figured i might as well do the whole thing, it's certainly even darker and weirder than the show. I've also gone into full on overload with Twin Peaks and i've been watching documentary pieces on youtube, fan theories and also i've been listening to the idle thumbs podcast that started last year called twin peaks rewatch. It's really interesting hearing peoples opinions of the show and what they think around what certain parts mean.

I also watched this , i had no idea this even happened

Did you ever play Deadly Premonition? I'm also going through Twin Peaks for the first time (up to 2x05) and Deadly Premonition seemingly ripped off entire plot points and characters.

I just finished reading The Secret History of Twin Peaks. It's absolutely barking mad, simultaneously trashy and brilliant (just like the series). It weaves a sort of Grand Unified Theory of the history of the North American paranormal and conspiratorial encompassing Lewis & Clark, Illuminati vs Masons, indian curses, the bohemian grove, Lemurians, JFK, pulp sci-fi magazines of the 40s, Nixon, bigfoot, Roswell, and L Ron Hubbard! The most startling thing is how often I'd google something that sounded outlandish and discover that it was based in true events. It was clearly researched with deep love for the subject.

The reviews on Amazon were very mixed, but I loved it!
