Facebook now removed from Tweetdeck. Really only was a matter of time, wasn't it.

Twitter Sig Update

You might have noticed that the twitter sigs haven't been updating for a while. They were on the old depreciated API, so none of the requests were going through and the only tweets that would show were whatever the last ones added to the cache on my server were.

I've updated the code to use the 1.1 API and everything should be back to working as normal. Sorry it took me so long to realise there was a problem.

I was going to PM you about it but my last tweet before in went down, 'Please Understand', seemed to go well with a lot of my recent posts.

Well, to make up for it, I've changed it now so that it matches Twitter's styling better.

In other news, gd is a pain in the butt.

Alright, the sigs now scale up if the tweet takes too many new lines. And now that I get four times as many API calls per hour than I did before, I've put the cache down from 10 minutes to 3 minutes.

I've also shrunk the text. I think it's too small now, but let me know what you think.

The size is fine, perhaps a little small but now there is alot of unused real-estate between the tweet and the date.

Right, so looking at my own sig now, the three options are:

- make the font bigger to come closer to the edge of the image
- make the image less wide to bring the right edge closer to the text
- set it to take a new line after a larger number of characters (currently set to be the last complete word before 80)

The third option is the worst choice because the tweets will all become top-heavy. Can't decide between the other two.

Just make it less wide?

Can you count how many pixels I need to shave off? I'm on a retina display, and it's all dicky about resolutions.

Edit: strawberry float it. I think 60 90 would be about right.

Yes that addition feels a bit weird, especially as the reply button is still there and I still use that out of habbit.

At least they have finally fixed DM's! About time.

By far the best Twitter client available on any platform.

I still don't get what could make it better than the official client.

Quicker, easier access to lists (especially on iPhone), customisable tabs and the media-only timeline view. Plus it still has proper Instagram integration and the option to open links in Chrome.

BOOYA

Plus it picks up from where you left off across your devices. The list function in the Twitter app is pathetic. Considering they now own Tweetdeck it boggles my mind the state it is in. One last thing, no adverts.
