Just think, this time last year megaupload was still alive and there was a serious push for a seperate entertainment folder on here with protected links for ustv. Now, thanks to new zealand, it's no more.

I'm surprised new Zealand has the internet actually.

I'm planning a regulary updated op with all the info you need. Any new/returning shows will be mentioned in the thread title (Space permitting).

In terms of highlighting new and returning shows in the actual thread I need some small eyecatching banners of similar size to this:-

Image

I need:-

1) A Banner to be posted every Monday which says "New and returning shows this week" on it.
2) A Banner to be posted the evening before a new show starting with "New shows tonight" on it.
3) A Banner to be posted the evening before a show returns with "Returning shows tonight" on it.
4) A Banner for the op with "GRcade USTV Thread" on it. This can be a bit bigger than the others ones if needed.

Win the chance to see your work regulary featured in the new thread.
Post your entries in this thread or in the new one if that's created.
You can submit an entry for just 1 banner or all 4 if you like.
In the event of more than 1 entry some kind of vote will take place.
Closing date is this Sunday at midnight.

"No manny" rule should be in force.

Couldn't we just have links for shows posted via PM?

What site are most people using now then? Ive found Wupload fastest, but there can be lengthy waits between downloads at times

Crazyleech + Rapidshare links = relatively speedy downloads.

What Steve should do is, make a seperate sub forum for TV, and have it so that either a) certain members can view it (as in the forum part of the forum) or b) have so only people with enough posts can. That way he can keeps links going and they'd be hidden... Would that work?

Try downloading it via http://www.crazyleech.com, just copy/paste the rapidshare link and it'll let you download at premium user speeds.

It's alright but nothing earth shattering, it's all a bit too predictable and formulaic at times, the blonde bird isn't too bad though.

This is the perfect opportunity for a Media folder to be created. Finally this forum can enter the 21st century.

Was a big part of the argument for a media/entertainment folder last time the discussion happened, but apparently hiding the links to a certain level of posting members my make it look GR advocates piracy apparently, so it won't happen.

Eh, I'd be up for a media folder without links anyway.

Perhaps controversially, I myself don't mind if links aren't posted in this thread again. With Megaupload dead it's not as if there's a big repository of back episodes any more and Monkey Man has always been clear where he's finding the links he's posting.

Agreed. MU dying has really killed the point of a thread dedicated to a backlog of links. Would be happy to archive this (for all the memories  ) without any links and just start a new TV thread for all kinds with obvious warnings about posting spoilers if one show is at US pace and another a few episodes/seasons behind at UK pace.

I don't want Monkey Man & others spending a lot of their time creating a new topic, so just for the moment may I suggest holding off on making a new USTV Thread.

If MM genuinely doesn't want to keep updating this thread with links then I can understand that - it's work on his part that he is under no obligation to perform, and I for one am very grateful that he chooses to do it. What I don't like is the idea that is an this order coming down from on high, at a time when the thread is still used and enjoyed by quite a lot of people on a regular basis.

Yeah I really don't understand the timing of all this. Someone makes a thread questioning the piracy rules on here (not the first time) and then bam ustv links are getting killed off apparently :? . I did always think something like this might happen after megaupload got buggered by the US though. But still, odd timing.
