I get what you're saying but I'll still happily watch it regardless of plots being rehashed

I've yet to get tired of watching European ladies get covered in sperm after taking a knob up their ass, and that's essentially the same thing.

Yeah but atleast that has a satisfying climax.

that's not true - surely. You must spice it up occasionally?

See, they had their chance to dig deeper into the exact causes and early days of the apocalypse with Fear the Walking Dead but instead they chose to just gloss over it with a timeskip. If they don't end it with series 8 then I hope they skip the whisperers stuff since it sounds like it'd just be a bit gooseberry fool on telly, give them a guy who says he knows how to end the plague (like Eugene, but legit) and then send them off on one last roadtrip to get to a CDC base or whatever. Putting them back on the road would make the zombies actually a threat again and allow more variation than just "oh gooseberry fool look x faction is evil we should fight them" over and over.

Fear the walking dead was such a wasted opertunity. Should have got right into the details and the true horror of that kicking off, losing loved ones etc. But noooooooo we had a few good episodes and then a mobile scooby doo squad every week.

Never watched it. I assume it's not worth the bother?

First few Eps were alright. Tailed off at the end of the first series, second series was gooseberry fool and we gave up on it there. No idea if it got good again.

The first season started with promise. Then went into The Walking Dead Lite. With detestable characters.

Gotta disagree there, I enjoyed it very much. Nick and Strand are great characters.

What? Great characters like Eugene inducing levels of annoyance, Jonny Depp lookalike Nick? Or Madison? Alicia?

I doubt very much I'll watch the third series.

I thought the first season of Fear was much better than a lot of the main Walking Dead seasons. It is criminal though that we only got two episodes set before/during the initial outbreak. Never got round to season 2.

Completely agree, and that's also one of the reasons why I don't really take to this. The first season should have focused on the whole outbreak and the demise of humanity.

There's a threat of another US TV writers strike.

Don't worry though, I doubt the quality of the Walking Dead will suffer. ;)

Just get the actors to improvise and it will probably be better.

It looks like they've already been improvising in the action scenes.

Imagine if they had to get a deer to improvise instead of having a high quality digital version.

more heat than light wrote:I suspect part of her deal with Negan involved Rick being kept alive. It's fairly believable that he would suggest such a thing, he doesn't want him dead, he wants him to suffer (see also, smashing in Coral's head in front of him).

For the record, I thought the Junkyard Yoda switcheroo was quite well played last night. Didn't see it coming at all.

It's the one thing I got right :slol:

I was so disappointed with the finale that I've gone back to reading the comics. Downloading All Out War Part 2 as I write this. strawberry float waiting months on end for that gooseberry fool only for it to disappoint.

Genuine laugh out loud. Just finally caught up and saw the finale and thought the exact same thing. Tara shoots Rosita then helps her. Awful direction.

Pretty crap finale and reading back, mostly with the same criticism.

The junkyard people are probably the worst thing in the show though. Utterly irritating, and it doesn't make sense why they all speak like complete banana splits.

This Negan gooseberry fool needs to end. Preferably with Coral dying. They had a chance to make him this strawberry floated up, interesting character. Sadly he's just pointless and only there to get Rick all emotional.

Tiger was hilarious, but yeah a pretty gooseberry fool finale.

I really didn't like Dr Denise, BUT I've recently binge watched nurse Jackie and Merritt weaver is great in it.

So I'm thinking that if I had watched nurse Jackie back when it was on, I would have felt very differently about Dr Denise.
