You've got me intrigued now Robbie. I know the weapons covered in zombie guts is from the comics but I've no idea what you're on about with Negan. Please tell me in a spoiler box what happens in the comic with this scene you're talking about and I'll try my best not to read it.

I liked this episode. Rick and his merry band of pricks, worth it for that line alone. Poor Edith looked proper sad and the thought of Cherry coming back to the show makes my pee pee stick quite hard.

I wait for this show to come to blu-ray and have it running at x1.5 speed on my PS4, and everything still feels dragged and drawn out. I’m a season behind you, but...Jesus Christ. I just feel like it has nothing interesting to say about the characters any more, despite there being so many. The show is in dire need of better writers and less of this ‘shock value killing’ thing they keep going for. The bit when Negan’s playing pool in the street and...y’know...was meant to be shocking but to me it just felt really contrived.

Well I'm not going to spoil it fully (some people might not be able to help themselves!) but I'll give you the gist of it from what I can remember, been a while since I've read any of the comics and I mainly just have a look at the story every now and then to try and keep up to date with them.

The Saviours arrive at The Hilltop and have a standoff with the group, Negan gets talking to a character and then orders another character to shoot said character with a supposedly infected weapon, obviously the item isn't infected in the comics, who knows what direction they're going to go in the TV series.

Probably not much help as it's quite vague but that's the gist of it from what I can remember.

I think we can say with confidence that no matter what they do, it will be strawberry floating gooseberry fool.

Just waiting for a coral letter reading montage episode to pop up :dread:

I expect Carl's letter to Rick to be read out if we get a montage after the war is over, whether that's at the end of of this series or series 15 is anyone's guess mind.

I'm still enjoying this but I haven't seen Monday's episode yet which is perhaps indicative of how enthralling it isn't. I don't think it's as awful as some of you make out but I'm pretty much watching it because i've stuck with it this long.

I feel kind of the same, only stuck with it so long because of all the hours I've already invested into the series. If someone said it was worth watching now I'd probably watch an episode or two and think "what a load of rubbish".

Saying that though I think the second half of this season has been much better than the first half although it's no better because they got rid of
Carl
. I thought the latest episode was pretty decent actually, not great but pretty good.

I'm probably hesitant to call any of the recent episodes great due to the so many sub par ones there's been over the past couple of seasons, knowing it could easily revert back to its old ways. I really hope it continues on it's current trend though, from the trailer next weeks episode looks like it could be very good as well.

I loved the latest episode, laugh out loud funny at the beginning with
Negan talking to his bat like a loony,I love it
and then the bird from 24 shows up,random.

I've learned to appreciate the change of pace and direction. Lots of inner group conflicts. I can understand why many people will dislike the show, but I love it.

I enjoyed the latest episode, calling it great is overstating it, but it was a good episode for this season.

I’m not sure about the new people. The main lady was ok but the two henchpeople looked like they have a lot of potential for being annoying.

I've learnt my error from last time and decided to spoiler a comic spoiler from the start,

Lots of people seem to think the new people introduced are part of The Commonwealth group recently introduced in the comics, the main lady does look similar to one of the new characters so it's not impossible to think they're introducing a future large community at this point. Wonder if this means they're skipping the Whisperers for good or planning to introduce them later.

I'm just going to play it safe and spoiler tag any comic stuff,

Obviously they could follow the comics more closely but who knows, honestly I'd much prefer a quicker paced show and if that means it follows the comics only loosely and changing more things around then it'd probably be a positive change in my opinion.

Kirkman and co have said they originally planned to go to about 300 issues of the comics and they're currently sat on issue 180 (or about there anyway, not 100% sure really) so it's not like they'll actually cover all of the comics storylines by the time the cast want to move on from The Walking Dead so getting it to a point where it's a decent ending is probably ideal before the fans fully lose interest as well.

Negan and Trevor continue to be the only good thing about this show.

I see last week at the stig of the dump theatre, Rick had access to Herschel's infinite magnum, firing about 30 shots from his 6 shooter, yet this episode they make a massive point out of him being out of ammo at the correct amount

That bit did make me laugh.

I also like how Rick is usually an amazing sharpshooter. He can hit an anonymous bad guy from a ridiculous range. But despite having several close range shots at Negan, he just couldn’t hit him.

There is also no way that Negan would have been driving at the back of the cars, just in case there was an ambush. He would have been in the middle of the other vehicles.

Let's be honest, there are so many flaws and questionable plot decisions you have to turn your brain off. Turn your brain off though and it's good fun. Which is what it's meant to be.

I don't want Simon to die but I fear his time is close to its end.
