I'm not hugely up to date on what happens in the comics from well, The Whisperer arc really. I kind of know what's coming and the next big story arc (The Commonwealth) but past that I'm a little out of the loop as well when it comes to spoilers and upcoming major events.

Rapidly-Greying wrote:One thing though,If they stick to the comics and alpha never takes his mask off then why cast Opie? At least beta takes her mask off so Samantha Morton won't be wasted in the role.

Maybe remembering this wrong but isn't it Alpha who takes her mask off and Beta who keeps his on in the comics?

Ironhide wrote:I liked how they did that scene with Jesus single handedly fighting all those walkers like a complete badass before that happened, made the final 'reveal' seem far more shocking when everyone was looking on in utter disbelief.

I'm guessing this means Alexandra, Hilltop and the Kingdom will reunite to tackle the common threat.

I also have a feeling that Judith will end up shooting Negan.

I'd be amazed if they off Negan, especially by Judith's hands.

You're right Robbo,I mixed them up. Beta keeps his mask on,and alpha takes hers off.

Am I correct to assume the Whisperers are cannibals? I can't think of many other reason why they'd hang around with walkers.

I know that a few characters have impersonated walkers in both TWD and FTWD before but that was nearly always a last resort kind of thing, actually living among them just seems a little too risky to be worthwhile.

I'd say it's just a much better show in general this season, not nescacerrily because Rick's not in it. Still reckon it'll miss Rick going forward on the whole.

I think the show has been going on long enough now for some of the main(ish) characters to get killed off in horrible GoT style ways.

Rosita, Tara, Aaron and possibly Ezekiel should be offed imo.

I just hope they don't off Daryl now, in season 7 & 8 I wouldn't have had an issue with him being offed as they really weren't using his character but again, season 9 has done a complete 180 on him and I'd be genuinely sad if him or Dog got killed.

Nice of Rick to leave Darryl his plot armour

We've seen the dog for a couple of episodes now and I already like it more than 90% of the remaining characters. I'll be proper gutted if Dog is killed.

I have a feeling kid with a stick blacksmith on the apprentice will take on Corals role from the comics if they introduce Lydia.

Hopefully it'll make it :) I was very worried when it got caught in one of Daryl's snares that it'd become walker lunch but thankfully it didn't.

Reckon you're right on Henry taking that storyline of Carl's, who's to say if they'll put the second one in though. Hope they do though as most of the Whisperer arc in the comics is really good from what I remember.

Heard Negan and Daryl will be sharing it between them.

Lydia is definitely in it as I saw her in the trailer trying to recruit Daryl whilst in jail.

Great episode. Ill admit i didnt want rick to leave but the last 3 episodes are great.

Great reveal of the whisperers. I know some of the cast die by their hands in the comics be interesting to see what amc do.

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

Finally seen the latest episode. Really good and an astonishing turn round for this show.
The creepy icky quality of the Whisperers has been well represented.
Brutal but very well done on Jesus.

Well finally got caught up, Fuxking A.

I don’t know if that has got better under Scott Gimple going but that was a strong first half. Like legit strong. Apart from the cop out of episode 5 :|

Looking forward to the whisperers, from what I’ve read they’re a bunch of straight up savages. Hoping that Angela Kang won’t hold back after some bitch ass pussies were complaining about it been too violent & bloody a while ago. Your watching The walking dead, not My little pony.

Alpha teaser (had to give a crappy link as the Instagram button has disappeared :? )

I’ve watched a short teaser for the mid season premiere and it looks ace, with how good season 9 has been so far I’m glad it’s been renewed for a 10th season but I just hope it doesn’t go down in quality again.

I’ve also seen a 2 min scene on YouTube from the mid season premiere, bit of an odd scene out of context.

Well that was an alright episode today, I guess.

Negan’s still an insufferable cocky bastard. If he does at any point during the next season, I wouldn’t be sad.

Really disappointed at how they are portraying Negan in the series, after all the hype by the comic readers saying “oh wait until you see Negan.”
