Well, it beat the hell out of all those times she could have killed him with the strawberry floating huge knife she had in her hand.

The thing that immediately sprung to mind was that bit in Deep Blue Sea when Sam Jackson gets eaten by the terrible CG shark jumping out of the water. It was just appallingly directed, completely nonsensical and ruined what could have been a decent moment.

It would have been far better if they'd just stuck with the raw unedited footage.

The finale was better than i expected but stil so, so dumb. Sashas plan was strawberry floating foolproof. Kill self, become zombie, attack Negan. Yeah thats destined to work. Like if you were going to die anyway, why not just leap out of the coffin and try and strangle his ass? Or as others said, why not stab him with the giant strawberry floating knife when you had the chance??

When King Ezekiel and his battle axe wielding, Tiger taming followers showed up i was like "oh great Ricks getting rescued by a bunch of of LARP'ers". Seriosuly this show needs a huge shake up. The formula is so stale right now. Watching Rick and co walk sullenly through some woods is not exciting.

The real issue is we've sat through two seasons of shite for so little payoff. I'm all for a show putting you through the wringer, but the payoff has to be good.

We got a shite ten-minute gun battle with minimal tension and nonsensical actions from all sides.

So, the Tick survived the zombie apocalypse?
Jupiter is in your sun sign this week, making it pretty crowded in there, what with Jupiter being the largest of the planets and all.

I don't get why Trash Yoda didn't kill Rick. Standing with a gun at his head while it was all kicking off, for ages. Grazing him with a bullet then kicking him off the stanchion could have killed him (if he landed on his head or something), so why not just kill him?

I suspect part of her deal with Negan involved Rick being kept alive. It's fairly believable that he would suggest such a thing, he doesn't want him dead, he wants him to suffer (see also, smashing in Coral's head in front of him).

For the record, I thought the Junkyard Yoda switcheroo was quite well played last night. Didn't see it coming at all.

Maybe that was part of the deal she made with Negan, keep Rick alive?

The way they talk is dumb, why would a whole group of people devolve the English language so much, it makes zero strawberry floating sense. They make the way Kingdom folk talk seem normal

And she must be super mental if she thinks she has a chance at boning Rick, it would be like sticking your knob in an ashtray, strawberry float that gooseberry fool man, stinky boot.

I loved it.

Shame the other 14 episodes were shite.

Enjoyed that finale. Not the best season I'll admit but at least it isn't as bad as the first two seasons.

I don't think that was really a plan. She just wanted to die before she could be used against the others. The plan as she ran into the Saviour base however...

Really? The farm was much better than this. At least that serie season has some actual character development and decent conflict between their wants and needs around survival.

One thing that really bugs me that I've not seen mentioned is the soundtrack. The soundtrack used to be so good and was perhaps the best thing that the show has ever had going for it. But this latest season, even the soundtrack has been awful. What's happened to it? It's all just really bad sounding industrial synthy stuff.

The farm had Shane. That's all that needs to be said on that. No matter how gooseberry fool the season was, it had great character work that no one can deny.
