Infact, I have all of it on my PC, I can chuck you them over at some point.

Finally got around to watching the second episode, that was fantastic. Very tense for a lot of it. I know it's not a big thing but i'm afraid the story with the racist guy is going to go down a predictable route.

He cuts his arm off, finds the black kid and beats him to death with it?

There's always one human who acts like a cowboy hick and generally messes things up for the group. I guess by the quality so far that they'll probably handle it well, though. Also why would he cut his arm off instead of the handcuffs?

Yeah based on these first two episodes I can see already see plenty of plot changes from the comics. I've read all of The Walking Dead but I didn't feel like reading it had ruined these episodes for me.

And it's a 6 episode season? The best show on tv: Breaking Bad only had a 7 episode season which was awesome but seemed very short but 6? I wonder how many issues of the comic that storyline will get them through?

What? Brainstorming is what I used to do at school, think out loud with your ideas?

There is going to be a second series, so I assume all the comic won't be in this one? Or is there like...2 volumes of the comics? *shrug*

It's based on however many issues make up the first book I imagine.

Don't read if you don't want to probably spoil the rest of the first season.

Rick gets to Atlanta, gets to the camp, the camp gets attacked, his son kills Shane. That should take up the next four episodes nicely.

Watched the first episode tonight. My girlfriend and I (who both really like the comics) loved the programme. It's absolutely brill. Most of the characters are absolutely spot on in the way they look. The only one not perfect is Shane, who seemed more like an all American action hero in the comic, you know, chiseled chin, large build, etc. The father and son were brilliant though and I can't wait to watch more. The special effects are also much better than I'd expected.

I hope the series includes the part from the comics where the father brings his son a Gameboy for Christmas.

Also, the pacing in this is fantastic. Really slow and brooding. I love it!

And you know that zombie in the bus? It looked just like Jim Carrey. I doubt it's really him but it was uncanny.

Yeah I know about the 2nd season confirmed. But 24 pages of a comic cannot be spread out to a 45 minute tv show. So 6 issues per volume doesn't provide enough content for 285 minutes worth of a TV show without either dragging it out* or changing/adding storylines. Seems like they're going down the change the storyline route based on these 2 episodes which would make sense as the show would very quickly catch up the comic by the end of a 13 episode 2nd season.

*Similar to manga and anime where the anime at 20 minutes an episode can easily go at at 2 chapters an episode (36 pages total) and still feel a tad slow. It also means the anime catches very quickly to the manga even if it's started years after the manga was first released.

Maybe they'll do a Dexter and stick loosely to the source material for the first few seasons and then eventually go off on their own tangent with the show.
