Y'know for a show that deals with the zombie apocalypse it's actually really sad that it's extremely boring to watch 95% of the time. It started off so promising too. There has really only been two decent scenes this entire season so far, The kid emerging from the barn and the bar scene. Baring Rick, Daryl, Shane and Glen the rest of the characters are incredibly stupid and unlikeable and it's a chore to watch their scenes.

Crazy Rick  . My favourite scenes in the comic are generally when Rick goes mental so that bar scene bodes well.

I may be wrong in memory, but am I right in thinking there was no zombies in the last episode? I can't remember.

This show has dramatically gone downhill since the end of S1, particularly due to the fact that they've been at that god awful barn for so long. Judging by the character's dialogue in the most recent episode, it's going to stay that way too -_-

Still end up watching every episode though. Mostly with hope not expectation.

Alright episode.

Dale continues being a prick. Wish he'd strawberry float off already and stop badmouthing the awesome Shane.

Maggie

Lori :fp: hit zombie, I know, now I'll accelerate and veer off the road for no reason. Hope she's dead, and then her son commits suicide. And skinhead woman kills herself too. And Dale.

Bar scene was cool. Rick 8-) Though shame it happened so quickly. Would have liked to see more of the new character (the slim one, not the fat guy).

Has it been confirmed that Merle is ever going to come back or not? And the man and his son from the first episode?

Fed up of the stupid pointless characters that this show is full of.

The scene in the bar was the best part of Ep.8. Some nice tension and decent acting. Shane is clearly becoming a pantomime villain, while Rick's wife is now becoming the most annoying person in the series for me. Personally I know I'm going to be disappointed she didn't kill herself in that car crash. The scene with Dale and Shane by the cars was nicely played.

The whole thing now needs to move beyond the farm. It's starting to get a bit stale. A change of scenery and a few new characters would work wonders.

Comic spoilers

Morgan does indeed come back, though his son doesn't.

Merle, as an original character, I have no idea. I hope he doesn't, that would be a leap too far

This is what the creator of The Walking Dead had to say on the matter:

We’re all suffering from Michael Rooker withdrawal. That’s really all I can say on the matter. We love him. We want him back. It could happen in episode 3, could happen in episode 7, could happen in a possible third season. But we’re going to get him back. Both him and Lennie James (who plays Morgan) brought a lot of credit to the first season and we’re absolutely dying to work those guys back into the show. It’s not something we’re going to forget. We’re not going to abandon these characters.

Well that was really good for the most part I thought. Some more genuine tension. :o Looks like the whole Shane thing will finally get interesting too.

Had to laugh at T-Dog's single token line.
