Yep that was an episode of the walking dead alright

Rick has plot armour 5 miles thick, there's zero tension to any stuff like that when he's involved.

Me and the Mrs properly burst out laughing when they looked at the back of that pickup and a box was actually labelled "BATTERIES AND GUNS" in nice big text so they could see what it said from the bushes  :fp:

READY TO EAT.

Good job the army keep a variety of romantic candles with their supplies.

What happened to the saviours showing up every 5 mins? Surely they'd notice Rick of all people going away for days?

That deer

I agree. I'm only watching now out of habit. No show has ever been so extreme in ranging from amazing to dire!

Sounds like I made the right choice in giving up at the mid-season finale. Might watch the season finale as they're usually good but I have no appetite for this show any more.

We're really just watching out of habit and time already invested now. If the show was this quality in the first or second series we definitely would have stopped watching as we did with falling skys, which had a similar feel to it.

What were the comics like at this stage? Just wondering if the source material took a dip in quality too.

Every time they cut to the Hilltop, Sasha or Maggie are tending those strawberry floating graves. Do some proper work

The show can still be good, but needs to stop treading water. This whole season could have basically been done in a couple of episodes (Rick loses to Negan, Rick goes and gets more weapons to fight again).

The CGI tiger doesn't bother me like it seems to bother others, I accept a tiger is hard to train and there isn't the budget for amazing CGI. The CGI deer was strawberry floating stupid though, what was the point of putting in a deer only to make it look so ridiculous.

They need to cut out the "OMG, IS RICK DEAD???" bullshit. We know he isn't dead as there are still episodes left this season, it's distracting to try and make us think it. In the season finale we might believe they would kill him, but there's no way he is going to die at a zombie fairground populated with CGI deer.

They need to Game of Thrones the show up a bit, other than Rick, there are plenty of characters that we know are going to survive until the season finale/season opener. Shock us a bit, let Coral get eaten by a small herd, get Daryl to be caught by some idiot and shot, etc. It is supposed to be the zombie apocalypse, show us or at least convince us, that nobody is safe at any point.

And for the love of god kill off Rosita as quickly as possible. She doesn't look tough, I don't buy that she is tough and it is strawberry floating irritating that she is pissing around like a lone wolf while Rick is building an army. She had her chance to kill Negan before and strawberry floated it up, why am I supposed to believe she can get into the Saviours compound and somehow defeat him? strawberry float off!

You know, and I know, and everyone knows, the show needs zombie Judith.

Rosita is ridiculously annoying. She was such a background character for ages, the token hottie, and now she's got her own arc they've turned her into a giant bellend.

It’s like they can’t decide what she is. Is she the tough hotty? Is she a tough military genius? Is she just a spoilt brat that has done nothing but whine and piss about for an entire season….

I'd buy more into the Rosita thing if she was a bit more like Vasquez in Aliens. She looked the part, acted the part of a badass woman. Rosita, like Poser said, was a token hottie, I cannot buy into this pretty, petite woman as a cold, collected killer.

But the whole show is going south rapidly. The Kingdom, where everyone speaketh Shakespearean, led by a zoo keeper who thinks he's a strawberry floating king! A Stig of the Dump crew, who act like a Borg Hive, led by some woman with the worst hair cut ever, and uses hand gestures to control them?!

Bullet-proof Rick. When he burst out of his hiding place and threw the sword back to Michone, I thought she was gonna do a She-Ra. I couldn't help but chuckle. Carol, one of the best built up characters in the whole series, just wants to mope around, face like a slapped ass, and read books, in a zombie apocalypse..... Carl, die please along with Morgan.

Thank strawberry float for Negan. I know a lot of you can't stick his back arching, pantomime villain but at least he's making the show entertaining.

Negan is the only thing worth watching this series for. The opening episode was the best they've done in a long time, absolutely brutal.

But hey lets go to the fair OMFG they are all soldiers what are the chances amirite?!

Hey we're stuck in the car OH NOES. But wait, haven't we seen that zombies go apeshit on people in cars and will smash their way in within seconds of spotting someone inside...wont people think it's a copout to have 30+ zombies swarming on a car and not even one window gets broken?

It was the deer that got me. Forget the CGI; it had clearly strawberry floating escaped. Then suddenly it had not only been caught, but it had been caught in the exact place where Rick fell to the floor? strawberry float off.

That's not just sloppy programme making, it's strawberry floating cheating.

The deer is the key to all this, if we get the deer working. 'Cause he's a more realistic character than we've ever had in the comics.

That car bit was just stupid. It even already had a smashed in windscreen yet Rick was just lying there knowing the zombies wouldnt get him. Then they stand on the car roof and suddenly car roofs are safe spots that zombies cant reach.

Pretty sure the 90s CG show Reboot had more believable CG than the deer in this last episode. Good strawberry floating lord what an embarrassment.

Also, at the first sign of people I'd imagine it would have ran for the woods - not just stood about being bait.
