That's the Scrapyard tribe, surely? Not the women tribe?

Oh yeah, I forgot about them.

Poser: Legolas didn't have gooseberry fool hair, he had beautiful golden locks that Gimli loved to stroke.

. Gotta disagree, I did not enjoy the episode.

Morgan is not the most stable of personalities, the death of the kid and finding out that it was Richard's fault have tipped him back into madness. All the pacifism and meditation stuff was keeping him together but the death of the kid was enough to break him again, Morgan didn't "just decide", he is going through a breakdown.

This is all true but, for me, it only highlights the problems with the show even more. There just hasn't been enough worth while character development each episode for me to have really felt any impact or even cared for Morgan's break down in the slightest. His relationship with the kid had no gravitas at all and the show spends too many episodes away from certain characters to the point where, when they reappear, I've lost interest in their subplots. Hence Morgan's break down making no sense to me in the moment. So yes, I think overall the show has handled this and pretty much everything else, rather poorly.

I still don't buy the rapid change from pacifist to rage murderer. I know he is showing signs of mental decline but he was always cool and collected and the guy he murdered never wanted anyone to get hurt but himself. In his own stupid way he tried to be noble.

I guess I just don't get why he would murder to make peace with saviours only to tell carol about Glen and Abraham which he KNOWS will spur her into action against them.

Morgan was a rage murderer before he met the guy in the cabin who taught him to be a pacifist. All this has done is send Morgan back to where he was.

I thought it was really well done (for this show anyway). He's the opposite to Carol, he's avoided killing for so long and been teetering on the edge of madness because of it with only the little things to hang on to keeping him grounded. He chose to stay with people and be passive, where carol kept killing and isolated herself to stop it. Now hes snapped he has metaphorically become her and she's now left to go back with people.

Also the stig of the dump people show similar parallels in the writing and performance with hoogabooga we go now up up up no fight many more.

It's like poetry.

Basically Morgan is next to die as he's gone full circle. Gone from bat-shit mental to pacifist back to bat-shit mental again. His story arc is done!!

I did like the way that Carol's choice of refuge was a cottage on a main(ish) road that was clearly walking distance from the Kingdom. Yet the Saviours have never spotted her. In fact, at the start of the series, the Saviours were everywhere. Round every corner, in every forest.

Now they stick to their base and only really appear for pick-ups. Very nice of them to become so absent/myopic.

And another thing... the Saviours clearly dominate but a very small part of Atlanta. If only there was some way to move slightly further away from them :slol: I realise you never know what you might find, but if they can't find Carol on their doorstep, and you have all of continental America to go at, then you could just move away.

Who cares really, he's now doing his own supply run with the Saviors whittling spoons for them in Carols den.

Minor quibble: I thought it was Baltimore, or someplace like that? Atlanta's a long way away from Alexandria.

Anyway, yeah, I've repeatedly said they should just move back down to the prison. Clear it out, re-establish a defensive perimeter and begin again. Way easier than going to war with Captain Smashbrain.

Alexandria is near Washington DC isn't it?

I guess they haven't moved away as they have a decent town and they want to take over the area from the Saviours. Their travels so far have shown arseholes to be everywhere (the Governor, those Terminus cannibals etc), why move and deal with another unknown group when you can just destroy the group you already know about?

Sorry, I erred - I meant Georgia, not Atlanta. The prison is a great shout.

Edit: yes, it is in fact in Virgina, near Washington. I'd forgotten they covered a tonne of ground after they met Eugene. Sorry, I've made a real hash of that, but hopefully my point still stands - why don't they feck off somewhere else, is what i mean

That whole region is one big city butting up against another - Baltimore, DC, Philadelphia, NYC. The reason I think it's Baltimore they've been venturing into is the skyscrapers, of which DC has none, and after DC it's the closest one to them IIRC. Not that it matters.

Because destroying this group will be damn near impossible, given its size.

And yet I bet they'll end up destroying Negan's group in a few episodes time.

Why did all the kings men just stand there and do nothing whilst morgan went mental and slowly strangle one of their own?
