Yeah, for a much-hyped 'All Out War', this has been pretty dull. It needs more Negan and less throwaway characters (The dude from the first season - used only for a gooseberry fool cliffhanger, for example). Thankfully, it does look like a Negan episode next, maybe with some backstory.

Rick following the mounted gun and dodging bullets by weaving about 6 foot away from the gun
Rick pulling along side the hummer and then it switching to a shot where the two vehicles were so clearly mounted on the same dolly, then the guy just sits there and watches him get out and in to his car without shooting him
The king deciding to give up at the sight of a 2 foot high mud mound, then the lingering shot of him lamenting the death of Tony the tiger
Zombies able to rip through tiger skin with bare hands

strawberry float this show seriously, it's become a comedy for us now.

I love the way Ad7 comes in this thread each week and posts my precise thoughts for me. Saves me the hassle.

Absolutely zero tension at any point. I think the actors know it's gooseberry fool, now. They must. The woman playing Carol checked out a long time ago. If Daryl has any sense he'll be off to play an elf in the new Lord of the Rings.

The bit I rewound - twice - was when a walker in beige trousers appeared in the background behind the King, and I swear he was just sauntering along like a normal person. I still have it recorded so will try to video it on my phone, if it works.

That pre-credits sequence was the best thing in the series so far by a country mile. Tense as hell and really well acted. No CGI tigers either.

EDIT - Yeah, decent episode. Rick and Daryl threatened to stink the thing out a little bit in the middle with their lovers tiff, but overall it was a marked step up from what has gone before this series. Amazing how much more exciting it is when they scale back from this all out war bullshit and start focusing on smaller scale issues.

I enjoyed that one. Nothing too stupid and keeping things small scale stopped any bullshit like infinite ammo.

Gabriel annoys me though. Hopefully he dies soon.

At one point, I was FFwding the adverts, got distracted, over-ran by a minute or so, and neither my wife nor I could be arsed to rewind. I am usually so anal about never missing a second of stuff I like.

We've not watched any since the first episode. It's just dog gooseberry fool now and we have absolutely no interest in watching anymore.

I've had no inclination to watch it since the first episode of the series either, I just don't care anymore. Plus I keep nipping on here to see that everyone's just saying it's crap anyway. Shame since it used to be a favourite programme but last series just killed off all my interest.

I think it's time for Rick and Carl to engage in the forbidden romance we all know they're destined for.

It was alright I suppose. That strawberry floating head dodge punch the floor had us rewind it to see that yes it actually did happen.

Gabriel is such a gooseberry fool character. I don't believe the actor for one second, I don't accept it as being a priest in this world, it's just some guy in a fancy dress costume.

Him and negan were in a cardboard grade flimsy trailer or something surrounded by zombies and they still manage to just get out of it. Oh and the strawberry floating confession, Jesus :fp: HEY LOOK THEY'RE SEPERATED BY A DOOR AND THEY CANT SEE EACH OTHER JUST LIKE A CONFESSION BOOTH AMIRITE IT'S LIKE POETRY

Admittedly the quality has dipped a lot but it's not the worst show I still regularly watch (that 'honor' goes to Legends of Tomorrow which I'm very close to abandoning).

Ive enjoyed it up to now, so much better than the 7th season.

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

I think jink this season has been dreadful and I’ve never been a fan of Rosita (other than in the obvious way), but both were redeemed in the latest episode.

I’ve not laughed like that at a TV show in a long time.

I was just happy to see a character shoot someone after the other guy said "You can't shoot me" or something similar.
