Generally this last half series has been a bit better than the majority of episodes over the last few seasons. Really hoping All Out War is concluded by the end of this season though, it should be. Sure it's an extended episode as well to finish things off.

While it has been stupid and annoying in places, the second half of this season was miles better than the first half of it.

The recent episode was ok, hopefully that’s the last we hear about Coral’s letters. It’s a shame Trevor is dead, but that was always going to happen.

I'd be shocked if it was the other way round to be honest.

Exactly, we wouldn't be able to see him at all that way!

I'm always of the opinion that you don't go in the thread until you've seen the latest episode. Having said that I haven't seen it yet but think it's funny that Negan on a poster is spoilered but trevor dying isn't.

Even though both are pretty obvious.

So I just read that the final episode sets up Maggie and Daryl as the next season's villains. :fp: :slol: if true.

Just watched it.

I didn't like that scene at all. I can understand why Maggie would obviously want Negan dead, but I don't believe she'd orchestrate some long-term plot to betray their closest friends to kill him, and I don't believe Jesus would be the one to go along with it considering what he's been saying and doing this season. As for Daryl, I'd prefer him to just stay out of sight permanently.

Thought the rest of the episode was OK, but it was definitely the weakest season of the Walking Dead for me.

It feels like they're really reaching for material for the new season, TBH. I would think that after all that's happened, everyone would be so worn down and exhausted that they'd rather just not fight any more, despite all the losses on all sides.

I get Maggie's anger, and I could see her plotting to end Negan on her own terms by herself, maybe with Carol's help because she seems like the type to go along with it, but the others involved here make little sense to me. Daryl's imprisonment gives him some motivation I guess, and he did have that stupid fight with Rick cos he wanted to go Rambo on Negan.

Definitely stretching the bounds of the series' already over-stretched plausibility to breaking point.

That twist is completely bollocks.

Jesus is all about mercy so don't know why he changed his tune when it comes to Negan. It's not like Negan did anything to Jesus.

Daryl shown mercy to Dwight who have inflicted torture, killing Denise, taking his motorbike, and play that awful music over and over again. He did more damage than Negan, tbh.

My guess is that this will be swerved or a misdirection to the next season. Like who the strawberry float that helicopter and what does the trash lady know about it?

Apparently the gal who played Maggie is having contract disputes and may not appear in S9, and have signed up for another tv series.

The episode was doing well until that twist. Completely shite.

I agree with this, parts of the episode I really enjoyed and it got me back into really paying attention because I was interested it what was happening (like it used to be) but that ending was terrible, I loved the bit when the saviours opened fire and the bullets backfired , I know it was probably obvious to most people but I believed Eugene was on Negans side

Yeah, I'd been hoping for Eugene's demise all season. Then he pulls that out of his mullet, saving everybody's ass at once. :datass: That's how you do a plot surprise.

Really good finale,it would have been a pretty good way to finish the show for good but that ain't happening. Maggie and Daryl though, that is some pretty awful writing.

I thought the finale was very good as well, until that twist which made little to no sense.

Hopefully they can carry this momentum into series 9.

I actually said to the missus at the start when he gives Negan the pistol to test the rounds that he'd sabotage them. She said "Nah that's not going to happen, the smug as strawberry float look she got when it rang true 8-) Still hate Eugene with a passion and can't understand 90% of what the tit says

Fear was very, very good. It was pretty much a Morgan Jones mini movie but without a dude making cheese.

Pretty extreme time jump though which I'm apprehensive about.
