Great ending to a great game.

I wanted to find out, since I chose to have Lee's arm cut off - if you say not to have it cut off, does that drastically change the rest of the episode? Or does someone cut it off anyway Because my Lee really struggled to do most things, and I thought it was quite clever for Telltale to have it so Lee's handcuffed to the radiator (if you chose that, which I did), so he has no hands to help Clem defeat the zombie at the end.

I don't think it changes much. There's just little differences like having two weapons when approaching the hotel and Lee passing out on the ladder in the elevator shaft.

Only just noticed how the story ends the same way it began. Lee handcuffed, a dead cop and the role reversal of Lee passing Clem a weapon to bludgeon a walker to death with.

Is the iOS version the same as the console versions?

I came down with a cold when this was released, so it was only today that I finally felt well enough to play it.

No work of fiction has made me feel this upset since Grave of the Fireflies. The whole series has been an incredible work of interactive storytelling, and I honestly cared more about the characters (especially Clem!) than I have those from pretty much anything else.

I mean, that whole last scene was perfect. "I'll help you".

I feel it's somewhat moot to debate how good this is as a "game". It was an incredible experience, and a big part of that came from the choices I made. Even though some of them probably didn't change much, it always felt like it did and that was enough. It was definitely at its worst during the action sequences, and death was always jarring for the wrong reasons, but these were really a small part of the whole and were never long enough to sour the rest.

There's an ongoing debate as to what actually defines a game, and according to some even something Minecraft doesn't meet those requirements as you can't "win" it. Maybe "videogame" is simply a bad term, but we're stuck with it. The Walking Dead is a videogame and it's amazing.

The ending is still stuck in my head, whenever I think back I get sad but the worst thing is...

not that lee died, i can handle that, it's the thought of clem alone with no hope no family left and no one to care for her. It breaks my heart to think she is a lonely child in an adults world. The game proved its a Dangerous world even for a group of adults. The glimmer of hope at the end may actually be bad depending on who it is on the hill. Her driving motivation was to find her parents, now that's gone what does she have left? Her new father figure also died, I'm scared she will give up or latch onto someone bad...

I'm left kind of wishing the ending was a little more conclusive, as it makes me think season two will continue this story and I'd prefer for a whole new set of characters and locations to come in. Maybe have Molly take centre stage with where ever she's heading off to.

The bit before the end got me, with her crying, her reaction when she knew lee was bit, and holding the gun to his head, it was brilliant, but truly awful. Trying to describe this to people and getting stupid looks off them strawberry floats me off. I so wanted them to walk off somewhere nice together, the last episode was just brutal

Did anyone cuff the policeman rather than Lee? What happens in that situation?

Clem cuffs the policemans arms across each other to a pipe, then when she goes for the gun/keys the zombie rips off one of his arms through the cuffs and comes after her

And Episode 5 done.

Loved it, really loved it. Reminded me alot of the old Lucasarts point and click games. Really found myself caring for Clem and Lee despite the fact it was only a *game*.

Did anyone else feel that Chapter Five was rushed? It seems as if I'd barely started it and it had finished. Still, there were some quality moments in it. Didn't expect Kenny to go out like that, and I genuinely thought useless Ben might do something heroic to redeem himself. Quite why Kenny couldn't have shot Ben and escaped was also something of a mystery.

Chose to let Lee keep his arm, if he was going to chop it off he should have done it straight away. Shot the stranger in the head, told Clem to handcuff me and I told her to walk way. Didn't want to traumatise her, by getting her to shoot me. Speaking to a friend about it, he pretty much made all the opposite choices, yet we still ended up with the same conclusion. That's a shame really and probably the games biggest flaw. Still, it does give you the illusion of choice. Hopefully, the second season will rectify this and we can get some genuinely differing playthroughs.

Props for them ending on a 'downer' as well. That was unexpected. I'd lilke to see season 2 continue the adventures of Clem.

Am I the only one who really wants a set of new characters for season 2?

Me too. I think though that an older Clem could be revisited in Season 5 or 6.

I think it'd be cheap as hell if they recycled Clem or Lee. I dont even want to see cameos. Leave them alone.

Just finished the first episode. It was pretty short but enjoyable.
