Started chapter 5, no one is with me despite them all coming on chapter 4. What's going on!?

Considering it. According to one of the lead writers, that song inspired a lot of his ideas for the whole game, for how depressing it could be.

I thought the music that played as Lee is chopping his way through the zombie horde to the hotel was really good too.

Finished Episode 5 today after having had to replay the entire thing due to a crash when my friend played Episode 4, corrupting and deleting all our saves :fp:

That said it gave me the opportunity to play through the whole story with it fresh in my head, just didn't really feel like playing Ep1/2 again as I'd had to play through them already once for a previous glitch.

Glitches aside...

Absolutely loved it, probably my game of the year. Decisions wise my repeat playthroughs at least gave me the opportunity to see a few different outcomes.

Let Carley survive first time, then Doug second, Carley again on third. I already knew the outcome was the same regardless but its a shame that it didn't turn out differently, they only created subtle differences in the gameplay but interesting ones all the same. Could never bring myself to side with Lily or Larry though, couldn't stand either of them.

In my previous game that glitched I let Ben drop to his death in the clock tower at the end of Episode 4, but on my second playthrough I warmed to him and actually felt sorry for him and was sad to see him go.If he dies then does anyone know how that effects the outcome for Kenny? I assume he falls to his death in place of Ben? Was genuinley sad to see him fall to his death even if he was a whiney little gooseberry fool. I really felt Kenny's death as well, really wasn't expecting it at that point. The game was great at catching you unawares when characters were killed off.

At the end of the game I told Clem to shoot me, she said she didn't want me to come back as a walker so it was the right thing to do. The bit post credits left me hoping it was Omid and Christa. Game left me wondering what happened to Molly and the same with Victor's group who took the boat. Was half expecting Molly to appear and help Clementine get away at the end. Kind of hope the next Episode continues with Clementines character because I'd like to see what happens next, that said it would end up recycling a lot of the same themes. Perhaps revisiting it in a further series would be better.

It really took me back to the days of playing through Lucasarts point and clicks and it was a refreshing change of pace, looking forward to the second season!

Having played whole thing twice I can see its smoke and mirrors in terms of changing outcomes however it's the dialogue and characterisation that changes, group dynamics etc. but I wish decisions had more consequence. Would have liked carley or doug to have been there till the end!

I think they will probably improve on that in the next season, hopefully. It does feel like a wee cop out considering that no matter what you do, they will end up in the same fate... death.

But then, they could telling us that, no matter what you do, you can't save everyone.

Also did anyone knows what happen if you save the adult first instead of Duck in the first episode? What happens next?

Exact same thing kenny saves duck and bloke croaks it. I understand that with a 5 episode game they need stable points to start each ep from otherwise they would be making 3 or 4 games for each episode and would quickly spiral out of hand. However the final episode had scope for truly different endings based on choices up till then, every time a character remembered something etc. they should have had multiple end options. The fact they don't implies season 2 will be strongly connected to this one rather than all new characters.

Just finished episode 4. Very moving can't wait to finish it tomorrow

Is this being released on disc?

In the states it's this month not sure about a euro release.

The 1st ep is free on Live for a week starting Xmas Day. All eps are on sale on Live on the 28th, the sale price is unknown at the moment.

I can't play through it again.

Yep. That music from the credits too is amazing. I've downloaded it and just lay there listening to it. Memories of my game of the year :wub:

Wowee. Just finished Episode 5. Started Episode 1 about two weeks ago, and have been following this thread from the beginning up to when the next episode was released.

What an experience. I loved every second of it. I felt Episode 5 was a little short, but it was oh so bittersweet.

Half way through Ep3 and hit a glitch that has stopped me from progressing. :cry:

Have checked online and it appears I'm not the only person to encounter this, and it seems that I need to purchase Ep4 and / or Ep5 in order to fix the issue. Gonna have to put this on hold for a week or so as I want to buy Ep's 4 & 5 in the Xmas sale.

Have really enjoyed what I've played so far, so can only hope that buy purchasing the final 2 episodes that it fixes my problem. Otherwise I'll have to start again from the beginning.

Just finished episode 5 and I have no trouble in saying I'll never play this game again. Like others have said, I just don't think I could bear it. What an absolutely stunning game, with one of the best sets of characters and scenarios I think I've ever seen in the medium.

By the time the end rolled around I was openly crying and I still feel emotionally wobbly now, a good 10 minutes after the credits finished. Clem and Lee's relationship was absolutely real to me and I felt myself growing as attached to her as I have any character in any game, ever which is a hell of an achievement for an episodic series.

My only regret from the story is that I made Clem walk away without shooting Lee/me. Thought initially it would be better for her but then remembered the lack of closure Kenny showed after I killed Duck.

Still, that's the way my story went. Roll on Season 2.

ok, i'll admit to not knowing anything about the Walking Dead but I'm intrigued as I've seen this got voted Game of The Year in the last couple of days (IGN I think).

I see that Ep.1 will be free on XBLA for 1 week from the 25th so will give that a go.

I'm not a big zombie fan though - Dead Rising didnt do it for me. Never played L4D2. Didnt like CoD Zombies (in WaW, BlOps2) - sorry Glowy!

Is TWD going to change my outlook on Zombies??? We'll see in a few days

TWD is much more about humans rather than the zombies. It's totally different from our traditional zombie game.
