Yes, it is. I remember he posted something and explained that his space bar is broken.

Brace yourself laddy!

Finished

Went with Clem putting Lee out of misery first time then replayed last chapter to leave Lee alive but he slumped as credits rolled

Whats the score with the couple walking in the distance as Clem sits on the log?

Incredible isn't it! The most emotional and gut wrenching series I've ever played. The last hour was tough!

As for the final scene, I really don't know, just guessing really!

Someone posted earlier about the episodic nature making the game better. It's so true. The cliffhangers and anticipation for the next episode make it so much better than the sun of the parts. I doubt it would have had quite the sane effect in me, if I'd have played it in 2 sittings, or over a weekend!

Be good to see more people do this in the future!

It wouldn't be a surprise to do that, given season 1. But, there is no doubt in my mind we will see clem and the wench that shot karly/Doug again!

Lee was whoever you wanted him to be though. So the player character in the next season could be similar, if you play with the same mindset.

Just finished this. Have been staying out of this thread to try and avoid spoilers, but thought I'd come in and offer my thoughts.

Not sure if the hype train has got a bit out of control or something, but I didn't love it like everyone else seemed to. I enjoyed it, but there were too many things wrong with it for me to truly warm to it. Most of them were problems with the engine or glitches (I encountered the Brenda speech glitch which totally killed that scene) but some other things I didn't like...

Why can you die? Scenes like the one where you're hiding in a stable and the guy points his shotgun at you. You have a set amount of time to do the right thing. Fine, but what happens if you fail? You do it again. Totally takes you out of the moment and makes you remember you're playing a game. The much lauded 'choice' aspect of the game is bollocks. Hardly anything you say or do seemed to have any effect on the storyline. The game would tell me that a certain character would 'remember that' and then five minutes later be eaten by a zombie.

Finally, when everything is stripped down, the game is simply a combination of fetch-quests and QTE's, two things that I personally find to be annoying in any game. I wish the developers would have had faith enough in the story to just tell it and forget making a game. It's telling that the most memorable chapter in the game is the last, a chapter in which you do little more than hold the stick forward.

I enjoyed the game overall, the story was decent and voice acting was (for the most part) above average. Just not quite game-of-the-year material for me.

I'd have it up there with Hotline Miami.

I think a good 60% of the people who voted in the goty thread had it as their GotY.

Quite possibly. One of my mates said he cried at the ending. I nearly did, but then the last 25G popped and I was ok.

See, I could sort of understand the critisism. Hear me out. I played spec ops the line, and was incredibly confused by all the hype and praise... A dull 3rd person action game. Essentially, I just didn't get it.

Walking dead, incredible. Not the best game ever, but an utterly incredible experience played over 4 months. I've never played anything that had such an impact on me, that made me feel so incredibly immersed. GOTY, yes, but it's not really a game?!

I cried at the end, I became incredibly emotionally invested with clem and lee. No doubt due to my massive obsession with zombies. But the last few moments of the game were heart wrenching :(

So it would be your NRAGBSMGOTY?

Not Really A Game But Still My Game Of The Year.

If anything, it's more of an interactive novel (which is still a game of sorts?)

Nail on the head. In terms of technical achievement and what you 'do', it's not really very good. But it's a classic case of the sum of its parts making a fantastic overall experience!

Fantastic game. Roll on future seasons in the episodic format.
