Season 2 was great. I loved how they completely shifted focus from the projects and kept it fresh.

I think season 2 is by far the best. It's definitely not as instantly likeable though, it took me until my third watch through to really appreciate it.

It's hard to call it the worst season - its better than most other TV shows can ever hope to achieve, but I'd say that or 5 are the least outstanding. It just feels so crushing. The dockworkers are just trying to survive really. None of them are evil, just doing dishonest things to get by. And they get strawberry floated the hardest out of anyone.

Frank Sobotka was a bad character? :| There goes your credibility.

Finished season 5 today, was actually gutted when the credits rolled.

Finale was incredible though, the 'Jimmy's wake' scene was absolutely amazing, one of the best in the whole series.

Just watching some of the Randy stuff on YouTube. It's properly distressing what happens there. And when Herc is sitting in the car and he just starts smashing at the wheel. :(

Order of seasons? I really liked season 5 to be honest, but I was always interested in how Simon would deal with the journalism side of the story.

I've just started season 3 of this. Three episodes in and it's started really slowly, although I thought the same of season 2 and that turned out to be awesome.

I think season five verged on The Wire actually being bad. Self indulgent and somewhat ridiculous, plus levels of fan service the show had spent four stellar seasons suggesting it was above.

the first three could change easily around though as they are amazing for many different reasons.

I wish they'd stop changing the intro theme, it seems to get worse every season.

 This show's amazing. The police have just driven Bub's white friend to the new place they want them to buy drugs and he's so baffled.

I know i'm pretty much the only one posting here, but this show really is amazing.

Tommy Carcetti's just been elected Mayor, Omar's just been framed by Marlow for murder on a civilian and despite how he was one of my favourite characters at the start, I seem to be seeing less and less of McNulty and not missing him at all. I'm only half way in but this is probably my favourite season so far.
