Started watching the wire for the 2nd time. About to finish the 1st season. It's better than I remember it being, which is probably due to not being confused as strawberry float for the first few episodes on the first watch.

Apparently "yo" has become a unisex pronoun amongst school kids in Baltimore. http://grammar.quickanddirtytips.com/grammar-yo-pronoun.aspx

Often the students would be talking to another student, would point at the third person they were referring to, and would say something like "Yo threw a thumbtack at me." This made teachers think they were using yo to mean "he or she" instead of yo as you would normally hear in phrases like "Yo momma."

Bug probably created it.

Lending this to somebody at work and they wont stop bitching about how the episodes don't end on cliff hangers.

I can think of at least one excellent cliffhanger from season 1.

Currently going through this for the 1st time on my commutes to work.

Really enjoying it, currently at the start of season 4. But I think I prefer the Sopranos...

I suspect you might rate it higher than The Sopranos in thirteen episodes time.

Never watched the wire :shifty:
