Bump from strawberry floating October? You kidding me? :fp:

Almost half way through S3 now. Loving the storyline of the ex-con who used to ball with Avon. Really tragic though mayne, he's trying to keep out of the game but the last episode I watched had him going back to the corner. :(

Oh yeah, is S3 straight after S2?

I think there's about a year's gap between seasons 3 and 2 as the detail have already been investigating for a while when the season begins.

I'm starting to not like McNutty. He's such a smug bastard. Only cares for himself. Oh, and I hate that Tommy. The one who's running for Mayor. Massive wanker.

Never realised before, despite them having the same surname (Wagstaff), that Cheese is Randy's father. Then again, it's never explicitly stated in the show.

The shows were on at a ridiculously late hour, If the BBC had put it on at 9pm or 10pm, then I have no doubt it would of picked up.

BBC's handling of it was absolutely shocking.

Yeah I didn't even realise the new series had strawberry floating started until four episodes in.

@Brer: I hated all the dock stuff in season 2 :( Worst part of the whole show for me.

That, is 6 months worth of a PhD.

The Rafael Alvarez books are merely companion pieces to the show. Not really that much in there that you wouldn't be able to find in most online pieces available anywhere. Same goes for the Re-Up Guardian companion book, although that at least serves as a nice little tidy compilation of a lot of the online material that followed the show when it first aired. The Simon/Burns books are exactly what you'd expect - incredibly detailed, thorough accounts of life following detectives on the streets of Baltimore. Take your pick.

Being a filthy academic, I'd also recommend this in particular. Compilation of essays on the show, which admittedly vary on quality. Chapter on Stringer Bell in particular easily the highlight.

I really liked Season 2. I'm currently watching the whole lot with my girlfriend (who hasn't seen any of them) and we just watched the opening ep of Season 2. When they reveal all those dead girls at the end of the episode I knew we were in for something special.

That sounds a bit sadistic but never mind.
