I love how Googling "Snoop Wire" automatically adds "girl" to it.

******* hell, please tell me someone else didn't realise either

It is confusing, but they refer to her as being female fairly early on, IIRC. She was the one character that had me rewinding and reaching for the subtitle button most frequently. Sometimes even then it wasn't clear wtf was going on.

Series 3 done.

Stringer! No!

But that shot of Omar and Mouzone walking side by side, united by their mission, was totally, chillingly brilliant.

Yeah, I recorded all five series when BBC2 repeated them last year, but didn't get round to watching them until recently. Completely hooked now, though.

You're in for a treat next, well even more so. Season 4 is easily the best season.

I've got the last episode of S4 left to watch. It probably has been the best season so far.

Prezbo

Prez is still in S4, then? Good. I really didn't want to see him go, and it wasn't looking good at the end of S3.

Just finished season 1 and making my way into 2. When I first watched all the series through back to back, 2 stood out as my favourite for some reason but I'm now finding it pretty hard to get into. I know it improves but I can't help but be tempted to simply skip it.

Don't like it. It's basically just a US remake of The Thin Blue Line. The guy playing Rowan Atkinson's part was rubbish, nothing like him.

I watched the first 10 minutes of the first episode, and I will watch no more.

I did this by severing my real arms and replacing them with super-human cyborg arms.

The second part is true. I don't think I'll like it.

It takes about 3 full episodes to get going. After that though...

3? I was still confused after 10! I ended up watching the lot in a kind of blissful ignorance, following the very basic story but being thoroughly confused half the time and making stuff up the rest of the time just to fill in the gaping gaps of my knowledge. It's on the second (and third, and fourth) run through that everything starts to come together and you realise why everybody strawberry floating loves the show.

I'm watching it with my gf at the moment and we're about half way through season 2. She's not really into it yet but D'Angelo is still alive so maybe she'll be more interested once that particular state of affairs is over.

After 3 I started to pick up the street talk and the situations. Re-watching it I was amazed at how many pure exposition scenes there were. All of them required of course. It's fascinating though how it eases you into the culture, both of the gangs and the police.
