I love the episode where McNulty spends all of his time milling around, shopping for ribbon etc. until you see what he's up to.

I've started rewatching it all after Six Feet Under overtook it as the best TV show I've seen.

Finished S1 the other night. "This is me, yo, right here" :(

Nobody wins. No goodies, no baddies.

Or, to put it more accurately: the game is the game, yo.

Didn't see how it was going to work as well, without Avon and String, and with McNulty being less involved, but it's still brilliant.

S4 was our favourite by miles. That's the standing after only two viewings of the entire series, though. I've got a feeling S2 might creep up after further marathons, cos it's pretty anomalous.

S2 was always my fav, but I think my latest rewatching has bumped S4 up to claim the title. The classroom stuff is down so unbelievably well.

I think the criminal lawyer wins - the Jewish guy who represents Barksdale, Prop Joe et al. He seems to end on a good note.

That's a serious post as well - there are other characters who get promoted or find money but all at the cost of comprimising their morals or relationships.

S2.

One of my favourite seasons, even if it is seen as the weakest one. Frank is such a great character. Every scene with him in 2x11 is just brilliant.

S2 was the one with all the stuff at the harbour port? That was bloody brilliant! I need to give The Wire another shot, I ran out of interest.

I also love S2. Frank is such a great character.

Am I the only one that is amused by the fact that the union is called IBS?

I liked how relevant S5 is what with the budget cuts and resource saving.

Just watched the finale of season 4. strawberry floating hell, what an amazing, packed episode.

Bubbles attempting suicide (though Sherrod's death was a bit predictable).
Cheeky bastard Omar selling the stolen gear back to Prop Joe!
All those bodies in the vacants.
Weebey doing the right thing and letting Namond have a better life with Colvin.
Michael becoming a killer.
Poor sod Randy getting gooseberry fool on by the foster home system.
Bodie dead - Nooooooooooooooooo!

Getting the 1-5 boxset for my birthday on Sunday. Can't wait to watch this again.

Also reading The Corner just now. Seems pretty cool. I can imagine it being quite powerful in the end.
