So...the long shape is the four-block straight line... but that has to be drawn on the left-hand side? if so... there needs to be some kinda big loop that they all fit into?

GOD DANG IT! DONE IT! :toot: .

It's so simple when you know the answer... but, "strawberry-float", it gets your brain working!

Thanks, Ad  .

...and that method of thinking - (shapes can be moved as long as they all fit into the loop) - has helped me to complete the string of four puzzles next to that previous door, too :toot: .

Man, this game burns your brain. I gotta go out now but I'll be back on this later :-).

Great isn't it? I don't think I've played a more satisfying puzzle game (or any other genre for that matter).

I kinda did quite loudly exclaim when I finally solved that puzzle earlier. Back home now and gonna give my brain another workout :datass: .

Completed a couple more puzzles but now hit a wall again. I'm on one where the puzzles have "mini shape symbols" in them; and now the smaller shapes are placed at an angle. I did two okay but the third one is crushing my spirit. Not gonna give up, though.

Picture plz, and remember:

Remember that if there are panels in a row, they are teaching you - if you've solved a couple, you have everything you need to do the others.

Done it! It was so *easy*... but when you start out, it's amazing how the (my) brain tries to look for complexity when the resolution can be far easier. I just needed to apply the same rules learnt from the previous two puzzles in the sequence :fp: .

On the final one of this batch of four now!

...again, that last one was pretty easy but it took my brain a long time to work it out :fp: .

But, hey, it's all progress!

A boat has appeared :o ... .

Not gonna get in it yet because I still have more local puzzles to solve.

I wish I could wipe my mind of this game and play it all again.

...so... the angled shapes in the squares indicate that they can be turned and positioned. Cool. And the fixed (un-angled) shapes in the squares indicate that they cannot be turned. Okay.

But what if they over-lap?

Edit: Do'h! Of course! The angled ones can be moved!

It's incredible. These earlier puzzles always seem easy once you've completed them... but getting there can be such a workout. You get a real buzz from completing a puzzle but then your brain is soon frazzled by the next one!

Dang, man. Just completed another batch of four. I'm getting my brain to try and look clearly...the lessons learnt are simple but my head was trying to complicate them.

I'm now in some undergound room with windows holding back water... and a mean looking puzzle aquare.

I gotta break off for now but I'll be back on it later. What a game!

I got this on sale and started playing it yesterday. It's pretty good, got a bit stuck so going to give it another try once I'm home shortly. What's the best way to describe where you are to avoid spoilers for others?

Oh Jawa and TNaG, the things you've yet to discover, I'm so jealous.

As for spoilers, a light description of the overall area you're in is fine it think, as most of the island can be viewed from the start without progress blocks. Just spoiler box the rest, and DON'T EVER LOOK UP SOLUTIONS.

I'm tempted to look up solutions just to see what your reaction would be.

I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for a solution I can tell you I don't have one, but what I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long gaming career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you solve the puzzles yourself, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you, but if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you and I will kill you.

Congratulations on purchasing your own brain-crushing device, TNAG!

That's not a growth wrote:...What's the best way to describe where you are to avoid spoilers for others?

I'm not sure, dude. There isn't a map or co-ordinates... and, to a large extent, you can tackle areas and puzzles in an order of your own choosing. I started the game eighteen months ago and completed a zone/area before this week returning to the game.

It's nice to know that others are experiencing the journey. If you get stuck or frustrated, I'd suggest taking a wee break before returning to it. My personal challenge is to try and keep my thinking logical; don't over-complicate things, and apply what you've learnt. It's tough, though, as plenty of the puzzles are maddening  .

It is an amazing game!

Ad7 wrote:...and DON'T EVER LOOK UP SOLUTIONS.

You're yelling the truth here, man. I have been tempted sometimes... but it ruins your own learning and the elation of completing a puzzle. If I get stuck a take a break and return later. Sometimes things seem impossible but then it just falls into place.

... :o .

Ad, is this game one of your all-time favourites?

Right, gotta go now but will be back on this in a short while.
