No, actually I went to Craignewton but I was worried that you wouldn't have heard of it so I put the Royal Edinburgh College instead, because they're both schools, right, and we're all in this together, and I wanted to put across the general i dea rather than the details, yeah? No. Well, yes. I have to admit it: I'm a perfectionist. For me, it's the best or nothing at all. If things go badly, I can't be bothered, but I have a good feeling about this interview. Seems to me like it's gone pretty well. We've touched on a lot of subjects, a lot of things to think about, for all of us.

I'd like to start programming in general, but I can never figure out where to begin with it. I've looked into different languages and I've had a bash at Python, but for someone completely inexperienced, I found it a bit tough to grasp the concepts.

I have a full on python course on Udemy started a while back if you get on with it can probably send you my login and you can do that too it's a very in-depth course covering everythingdrom setting up an ide to making stuff. All videos with an instructor and challenges throughout very good. I'm not using it so should be alright to let you use it

I really recommend http://www.inventwithpython.com. I think it was recommended to me by a programmer in co working. It's written for 10 year olds and I enjoyed it. It explains for example, what a variable conceptually is, which is important. You only make text based games, and asci games, such as hangman and noughts and crosses. I was able to take bits of the same code and apply it to my own simple concept. It's not the first code I've written, I'm experienced in HTML, CSS and some tiny bits of JavaScript and PHP and have built a lot of websites, but those aren't really programming.

He didn't get the job. He also stank of B.O and his hair was a right state.

I get that not everyone has a suit, but if you've got an interview you can at least have a wash and brush your hair.

) in the morning with hot breakfast butties.

Then in evening to fancy steak place nearby...but we're heading from work at 4...to eat at 6.30. It's about 30min away including parking/walking into town.

I've massively strawberry floated over my old department by promoting one of the few good workers from there into a management role in my new department 8-)

. He has a fairly unique role that will take a long time for someone to get up to speed with and carry out at a decent level.

I feel a bit bad really because it was mainly the Psycho Director who I had a problem with, but she's gone now so I'm actually causing difficulty for people I got (and still get, although maybe not for long) on with :slol:

My Dad's taken that new job, but he said it's probably going to be a year before he can hire anyone. Oh well, time to buckle down. I mean I'll try and look for something else, but I still haven't found anything that pays more than I get that isn't way too far away.

I'm a fan of orange juice in general but why on earth would you use it to completely change the taste of champagne? You might as well just use any old sparkling wine.

I keep telling people I'm going to do this, but I'm such a soft-wet-blanket-pushover-fraud stealing my current living that I've got no hope.

I've left the union at work as they're useless. Are there any sort of independent unions? Or do you have to join the one that's attached to the office. it seems we're a one union company, I'd like that insurance factor of being in a union. But don't want to be in the current one as they've let all the shift workers for our company down.

I've never been part of a union, or knew of anyone who was. Thought it was something just for tube drivers these days. :shifty:
