Demographics, social media presence and price are all major factors other than ratings, but make no qualms about it, while other factors are considered, ratings are king.

A flagging show or an average launch can be saved by hitting the right demos or being talked about on Twitter, but it won't get an outright ratings flop commissioned, which sadly this was. Robot Wars for instance had fairly okay ratings, but an undoubted recommission thanks to social media and hitting good demos. However it had some ratings to back it up.

The only way this will get a series I have already said is if they are somehow already financially committed to the project. No show is getting commissioned on the back of a pilot in prime time on ITV1 getting only 1.2 million.

I really do know TV ratings really well and fight for commisions on a daily basis so I'd like to think I know my stuff! Obviously I hope you get your recommission but it would be one that would raise many eyebrows in TV.

Take it to PMs or something jesus strawberry floating christ it's boring.

EDIT: and don't ever PM me calling me a rude prick either after you've been shitting up this holy thread

I'll PM you a link if I find one. Might have some luck checking Dailymotion.

He almost did sign for the WWE in 2005. WWE offered him a contract and wanted him to no-show a UFC PPV and turn up on RAW taking over from JR but he need up turning it down despite being very tempted.

Cheers. I'm sure it'll be on watch wrestling eventually, hopefully.

I remember something about that alright, probably wouldn't have been too happy about him coming in then because JR had plenty left in him at the time and anybody taking over from him would have gotten roasted weather he was good or bad at the job just because, but after all these years and Goldberg(Mike, not Bill) getting more established after UFC blowing up, just to have him at the announce table saying "Here We Go." at 'Mania would be awesome :datass:

Jericho said a few years ago that they are friends now.

Nice to finally see a non predictable Royal Rumble as the last two rumbles everybody knew who was going to win.

Yeah hopefully it's still that way come the rumble. Sometimes as the night goes on you can tell who the winner might be,before the rumble actually starts. Throw in a possible return for Finn Balor and it's even more open.

Hmmm there's some, but not all, individual matches up on Dailymotion. Someone has also uploaded the full thing in HD in four parts but part three seems to have been taken down.

I'm revising my World of Sport rating. The more I think about that ladder bit...

I do appreciate that suspension of belief is required, but come on. My grandad could get up a stepladder quicker than those lads, and he died five years ago.

Just watching SD, in the Miz v ambrose match JBL just said that's worse than 'Sir Alex time'

Also can't believe they've taken the IC title off Miz

Yeah, he deserved a longer reign. I'm guessing they just put it on a face so Corbin can eventually win it, they seem to be pushing him pretty hard.

Oh gooseberry fool didn't realise that was him. There's quite a few ex-NXT folk in New Japan now.

Speaking of NXT, Chris Hero returned at last night's tapings.

He seems to love Man Utd/The Premiership, noticed references a few times  Seems odd.

Quite gutted Miz dropped it but hopefully he will be going into the main event picture at some point soon. Miz/Cena (WM rematch?) or face AJ Styles for title would be awesome.

Considering taking day off after Rumble and going to pub for it, really unpredictable this year and holding out for an Angle appearance....

I've booked the day off after already. Hoping for Angle too. Although he is booked for WCPW on the 12th Feb.

 There's a reason why the normal version is barely ever used in WWE, let a lone a top rope version.

I need to go and watch some of the matches with the Japanese commentary again.
