That has to be some sort of internal running joke at the expense of the viewer.

Sting might as well wear his TNA Joker get up with all this statue carry on.

This Ziggler/Rusev/Women thing just reminds me of South Parks WWE episode every time, the acting is horrendous."Summer took Lanas jeerrrrb!"

After seeing Sting last night you do have to wonder if the current writing team are more familiar with TNA Sting than WCW Sting. I mean don't get me wrong, Sting is fantastic as a Jim Carrey impersonator, but you're killing his special aura. Think more Goldberg in a wig. Or Ric Flair in a mental institution. It's hilarious, but they're not main event storylines.

Has anyone noticed how WWE have started turning the TitanTron off during most of the show and simply putting up a static graphic? I wonder if they've been doing this to see if the Live crowd mind and are debuting a new set soon sans a Tron? Wishful thinking...

Interesting, not noticed that. Not sure if no big screen is a good thing though for alive audience.

It does work with Boxing and UFC though, with just the 4 big(but not that big) screens hanging over the ring/octagon for those in the cheap seats. It would get rid of wrestlers interacting with or watching backstage and satellite promos, some of which work well, like last night with sting destroying the statue.

I feel though that backstage skits are a big part of WWE and I can't see WWE scrapping them.

WWE SmackDown Tapings

Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

The Wyatt Family kicked off this week's show in the ring. Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper cut promos dressing down Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. Wyatt showed us what happened to Randy Orton on RAW earlier this week. The segment is wrapped up when Braun Strowman yelled "Run!"

Match 1: In a rematch from RAW, Cesaro defeated The Miz with the Sharpshooter.

Backstage, Renee Young was with Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Jimmy Uso. The three talked about their match later tonight against The New Day.

Next, another rematch was scheduled between Paige and Sasha Banks, however a giant melee broke out involving Team B.A.D. and Team P.C.B. In the end, Paige, Charlotte and Becky Lynch forced Sasha Banks, Naomi and Tamina to retreat.

Backstage, Byron Saxton was with WWE Champion Seth Rollins. Rollins complained about Sting destroying his statue on RAW. Rollins talked about his matches against Sting and John Cena at Night Of Champions until Sheamus interrupted him.

Match 2: The New Day vs. Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Jimmy Uso ended in a No Contest. The match saw Ambrose hit Dirty Deeds, Reigns hit a Superman punch and Uso hit a top rope splash, but during the pin the lights went out and when they came back up, The Wyatt Family had Uso on the stage like when the Warrior kidnapped The Disciple in WCW.

Match 3: The Comic Wasteland The Ascension (w/Stardust) beat The Lucha Dragons. The finish saw The Ascension hit The Fall Of Man on Kalisto for the victory. After the match, Cosmic Wasteland beat down The Lucha Dragons until Neville ran down to make the save.

Backstage, Renee Young interviewed Team Bella. Nikki talked about possibly breaking the record against Charlotte next week. Charlotte showed up and she and Nikki argued.

Main Event: Seth Rollins defeated Ryback in a Champion vs. Champion non-title Lumberjack match. Several of the Lumberjacks ended up getting involved throughout. In the end, Rollins hit a Pedigree on Ryback for the pin.

As Bubba Ray is back on the scene, Rico and Rene Dupree have said that Bubba Ray is dangerous in the ring and takes liberties with them, something that has followed him around for years. Edge also pointed out that Bubba concussed Jeff Hardy in his interview on Monday.

I do wonder if Orton still hates him.

Put on Extreme Rules 2011 to watch Christian win his first ever Workd Title and kept it on after. Ezekiel/Wade vs Kane/Show in a lumberjack match, absolutely bizarre seeing some of the lumberjacks. Connor from Ascension, Bryan Saxton as an actual wrestler and Fandango before his dancing gimmick and with pants on and short hair.

Dont remember them at all! Barely remember Wade, Ezekiel, Slater and Gabriel being The Core either right enough.

I think there's about 100 times more chance that El Torito becomes little Bull Dudley.

Wrestling Observer. Only reasons I can think of are 1) Cena 2) It'll make Rollins look better when Cena wins the title back if he's already had a match and 3) Cena.

Unless I've missed something on one of the radio shows, that's not actually something that's been on the Observer site. Not saying it won't happen (They are dumb sometimes after all) but I'd take it with a grain of salt.
