Bit confusing about ziggler, several days ago articles started popping up about zigglers contract being up in October and that he may be leaving, then this match gets announced, so is he really going?

I dug a little deeper and found some older articles from earlier in the year that suggested that he had recently re-signed with the company. So did he really re sign months ago and wwe have just put out some false rumours to make this match stipulation look legit or is he really off after no mercy having not actually signed a new contract.

I don't think he's leaving. His name was being bandied about for a new lettered-jacket faction just a couple of weeks ago.

Apparently so, alongside Swagger and Shelton Benjamin when he returns. I'm pretty sure Ziggler is scheduled for the live event I'm going to in November too.

Another consistently good SmackDown this week. The segments with Orton and Wyatt actually made me want to see a return of the Boiler Room Brawl.

Hmm that gimmick may work for a group of new twenty somethings but a 34, 36 and 41 year old might look a bit silly.

Can't believe shelton Benjamin is 41

Ziggler does have a voice like a high school boy though. I hope he loses and strawberry floats off for a while. And that Curt Hawkins can strawberry float off before he arrives.

So much great stuff on SmackDown again this week...apart from Curt Hawkins.

Miz/Ziggler promo was gold.

Another week, another TNA financial problem situation

According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio (subscription required but recommended), the company’s financial picture isn’t as rosy.

Money is still needed to fund Bound for Glory, the pay-per-view (PPV) set to run this Sunday, Oct. 2, and the week of tapings for Impact that are planned to follow. Financing needs to be in place by this upcoming Friday, and while Meltzer confirms Billy Corgan is in the process of buying the company - providing that money and gaining a controlling interest in it - that deal has not gone down, and appears to be weeks away.

Dixie Carter still owns a majority of the company, and could sell to whoever she wants. That’s when Vince McMahon and WWE reportedly re-enter the picture. An offer from the Stamford, Connecticut-based company was previously characterized as a last option if other deals fell apart. Meltzer claims WWE’s offer is back on the table, which would indicate Carter is preparing for the scenario where her other options aren’t viable.

If WWE were the buyer, they’d be purchasing the tape library for the 14 year old company and probably hope to bring some talent they’ve been interested in (like Hardy) but the company itself would be done... presumably effective immediately.

So will this be the final nail in th coffin? Who knows but the writing is in the wall. Having watched a couple of recent episodes it's only a matter of time. Send Mike Bennett and Maria to the WWE, the rest? Meh. The crowd always gets me too, it's like they are there because they needed a place to sit down and get out of the sun.

So what we always believed would be the final outcome may be about to come to fruition. I feel sorry for newcomers like Cody Rhodes and Sandow though.

A McMahon turning up at Bound For Glory anyone...

TNA is a cockroach, it's demise has been speculated many times, pretty much since it started, but it keeps crawling back out in some form and on ever decreasing networks, some mark usually comes along at the last second and saves the day. But somehow I think (and hope) this might be it for them, there's so much accessible wrestling out there these days that the idea of them being "the alternative" is long dead.
It'd be nice if Vince gave them a few quid to do BFG, going out on their big show would be a nice send off! Then we can have Invasion 2: TNA invades NXT 8-)

WWE are more likely to have Stephanie flippantly tell Mick Foley in some backstage segment on RAW that her Dad bought TNA over the weekend & move on to announcing the main event.

Would like to see Cody Rhodes back in wwe though. I think now with the brand split he would have a real opportunity to re-identify himself.

If vince did buy TNA then I really can't imagine them doing another invasion angle though.

Anyone decent (give or take) has left TNA for either NXT, ROH or Japan.

Who in their right mind would want a TNA invasion angle?

Since the brand split and all the call ups, NXT seems a bit depleted and generally not as good(bar Bobby Roode of course), so if done correctly a TNA invasion type storyline in some capacity might work. That being said you'd have to put Joe, Roode and Aries on the TNA side so team NXT might look a bit gooseberry fool. :slol:

That's the problem then you are back to the WCW invasion where they had to beef up the WCW team with WWE guys. At least in this occasion you can make out that Joe and Roode were TNA guys all along or something.

Not expecting this to happen. Vince is just looking to get TNA at a bargain price to beef up the network. If the price is too high then he won't be interested. They would probably only take on a handful of the workers.

Whatculture just announced Whatculture extra. $6.99 a month.

You can imagine how well that has gone down in the comments.
