Wouldn't have even main evented Thunder.

It's funny, because after 15 years WCW finally got its moment in WWE.

Surely they'll be doing a Wrestlemania rematch or something.

The reactions are more entertaining than the match. Loved a comment about CM Punk putting up more of a fight against Mickey Gall. I despair. I watched a four and a half hour WrestleMania in prep for that...

I'm glad that it happened I was getting bored of Brock and the 3million suplex matches while his opponents got no offence in. I also think fair play to WWE for having the balls to do it

I think the bigger question is just what the hell happened to his son's shirt.

Shocking, unexpected and not a complete car crash. If that's not a big success for this match I'm not sure what is. As for what it means, I think as ever it CAN work, but probably won't. Brock is getting complacent (in kayfabe and in real life) and he needed to be shocked. Plus, this can be legitimately played off as a fluke. If it lights a fire under Brock and he murders Goldberg at the Rumble or whatever it'll have been worth it. Whichever younger star beats Brock in a longer, more competitive match will still get a rub.

You think Goldbergs coming back? If they are thinking that, they are absolutely insane. Like Kklein said, that was it, that was the WCW moment. That was what Goldberg was all about. I'm a bit shocked by the ending, obvs going for that, but they couldn't have booked that match better between those two.

Internet seems to think he's signed on for the rumble.

Reflecting on it today, it still feels a waste to me. The entire build up, 12 years in the making, a chance to see what could have been had they not both been leaving, all feels like a troll. I'm interested to see where it leads, but to pull something like that after that Lesnar Orton match, and when Lesnar has had an entire year of underwhelming, lazy performances. I'm open minded, I look forward to see what it builds to with Goldberg, but I'm not in the least bit excited about it all any more.

This is a marketing opportunity for them to sell some more copies of WWE 2K17 (2K was even on the ring posts during the match), toys, and hopefully WWE Network subscriptions as fans under the age of 20 or so will want to see this Goldberg fellow mow through the likes of Mark Starr, Jim Powers, Rick Fuller, Scott Putski and Johnny Attitude. Though saying that, you can't watch the entirety of his streak because A) it was partially made-up anyway and B) Thunder and Saturday Night aren't on the Network!

According to Dave Meltzer Mean Gene on the WCW Hotline (£15 a minute) the match may have been Lesnar's idea.
