Watching on ITV+1 and it's been rather enjoyable so far.

Damn I've missed listening to JR.

Bulldog Junior still looks as gooseberry fool as he was in WWE. Zero charisma.
Pretty good production on the show though, I'm impressed. Is it still a once off or is a series likely?

It's a one off though ITV are prepared to bring it back if the ratings are good. If the overall number is poor it'll be down to the demographics. Take Me Out for example doesn't do particularly well but it attracts a younger audience, something ITV really struggles with.

Sounds like i may have been wrong about WOS. I will hopefully give it a look if its on the ITV hub as i forgot to record it as i'm at work.

The ITV/Gladiator sheen was a bit much.

And that Bailey chap almost broke his own hand dropping the ladder onto it in full view of the camera.

I thought David Hart Smith went to Japan and actually did quite well over there?

Watching WOS now. The presentation is very good. Will be a shame if they don't give it a series order.

My problem though is always going to be the British voices. Think we just sound so amateurish compared to the Americans. The ring announcer, Alex Shane, virtually all the wrestlers.

The tag match was the best in that show. For a pilot it was alright.

It did 1.25 million viewers. Apparently ITV had projected 2m so it doesn't sound good for it getting picked up which is a real shame.

I'm sure KK will have the facts somewhere but that will still make it the most watched wrestling show in the UK in quite some time I think.

Unless they are already in some way invested in a series, I would doubt that would do anything to convince them of one. Thats quite a poor rating for primetime.

Ratings were "poor" for everything that night on ITV apart from the news.

If they are commissioning a series then they'll need better top talent than strawberry floating Grado and that stocky dwarf with the big beard.

ITVs ratings have been absolutely terrible for ages, though the viewership pattern wasn't good for WOS. Its peak was the opening 15 minutes at 1,541,000, having already shed over half a million following the news. It then continued to lose viewers over the next hour. Compared to The Chase and Ninja Warrior, which steadily gained throughout.

There are positives though. The demographics could be very good (like Take Me Out and Jonathan Ross, 2 perputual underperformers) on a station that continually struggles attracting younger viewers, and it may play extremely well on ITV Hub. If ITV believes it can retain its audience, and with a bit of tweaking, 1.2 million for ITV4 would be absolutely phenomenal. Even if you cut that by half, it would still be a Top 5 show easily. The costs are low, they could tape multiple shows in 1 go...there is worth there. And more importantly, it'd be a sports property they own.

It also did well on the socials, which means strawberry float all for ratings, but networks love it...it was trending in the top 2 throughout. It was received very well.

Most watched conventional wrestling show since WWF Heat in 2000 (it was then bumped to 1amish in 2001) which did between 1.5 - 2 million at 4pm.

Celebrity Wrestling, a horrible ITV production in 2005, began with 3,925,000 but was moved somewhere after just 3 weeks on the air. Back then 2.6 million was considered bad on a Saturday. Now it's the norm for ITV.

If anyone is wondering, Raw is still bad.

Sorry dude, but thats just not true. Theres a massive dip in the ratings when WoS Wrestling came on - down from 2.13 to 1.25 , which then immediately picked up to 2.08m when Ninja Warrior came on and 2.12 when Take Me out was on after that.
