WWE RAW (16th January 2017): 30,000
WWE SmackDown Live (17th January 2017): 67,000

Looks like people opted to go to bed on Monday and stay up for the women's steel cage match instead (SD very rarely beats RAW in the ratings on Sky).

These WWE ratings are so bad now though, it's embarrassing. If WWE/Sky had any sense they'd stick one of these shows on Pick/Mix like they do NFL.

I did. I regret looking into it further. JBL is an odd man...

Yeah I don't get why they don't. At least have raw and SD hits on pick or sky one.

Rollins still coming off as a total heel  Awful booking.

Good to see Joe finally debut.

What kind of bubble does Vince exist in? No one is going to boo Joe.

Same one where he thinks Reigns is the top face (he also came off as a total heel tonight)

Why debut him directly after the rumble instead of during?

Was thinking that, but if Orton eliminated him would make him instantly look weak and old talent squashing new etc...

I really don't understand using him as a stepping stone for Rollins getting to Triple H.

Well, Joe is an NXT guy so you can see the connection. I don't like Joe is only a pawn in this storyline however. If he faces Seth at the next PPV, what next for him?

He was built up as the biggest badass in NXT so it makes sense with Triple H bringing him in to get him to take out Rollins rather than him getting his hands dirty and doing it himself.

I think at this rate Nakamura is going to end up on Smackdown whenever he eventually gets called up. He'd be a great opponent for Styles after how brilliant their match at Wrestle Kingdom 10 was last January.

I'm not questioning the connection or association. But it makes no sense using Joe as a stepping stone. Joe beating Rollins means Rollins is still where he is now, with Joe between him and Triple H, and losing to Rollins is a shitty introduction for someone who has the potential to be a monster on the main roster. It does absolutely nothing for Joe. Typically talent is called up and put over, and when they're not... Tyler Breeze.

Joe's not in the same league as Tyler Breeze - I wouldn't worry about that. I suspect that they'll have Joe act as an enforcer during a match between Rollins and Hunter. That'd be the most sensible booking.

Would be a bit of a waste of Joe. I can see them having a match at whatever the next PPV is with the stip that Rollins has to beat Joe to get to Triple H, then after he loses via shenanigans WWE bullshits its way out of the stip. Gives the pair a good reason to continue their feud after Mania too

Reigns maybe? He can naturally get involved in the Rollins storyline. I could get on board with a hoss-as-fuck Braun/Reigns/Joe match for the title

Christ, the crowd for RAW last night was atrocious. WAKE UP! It was a more eventful show than normal and they were funeraling most of it. It kills it so bad.

Not debuting joe in rumble makes sense to me as they clearly want to build him up as a force going by his debut. It's sometimes hard to keep this going by debuting someone in the rumble and then having them eliminated.

Personally I wish they held off Joe until the night after Mania.
