Angles return to wrestling and Styles/Balor are both Wrestlemania level occasions. That’s 2 huge PPVs (on paper) in a row for Raw! Glad I’m off Monday

To announce this all on a Friday, with no build and no TV time remaining, is crazy. 'Sister Abigail' has also been replaced by AJ Styles (against The Demon) and makes no sense from a storyline perspective.

Nia Jax, Neville, Tom Phillips, Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens, Bo Dallas, JoJo...all missing for various reasons or undiclosed and rather mysterious "medical issues".

Hopefully Angle doesn't do anything too crazy in this TLC match.

I guess this means Angle has been cleared to wrestle for some time and they were probably holding it off for a major event like WrestleMania.

Theoretically he could also face Jason Jordan when he's outed as a fraud.

STYLES V BALOR!

If they really want to make this interesting let's have Gallows and Anderson interfere!

Was there a mass drug test failure or what happened?

I don't get it?

He has an unfortunate track record of featuring in, or being the direct cause of, injuries in his matches.

One website is reporting WWE is testing for mumps, though that doesn't cover everybody (Neville, Nia Jax, Tom "on assignment" Phillips).

It's cool that they're pulling out all the stops to salvage TLC, but part of me worries that Balor vs Styles and Angle's return to in-ring action probably meant little to WWE in the long term. I hope I'm wrong.

I agree with Kanbei about Anderson and Gallows, it's too early for a clean win from either party. I'd love it if they split their allegiances, Anderson interfering for Balor, Gallows for Styles, for example. Cause some drama before they're all eventually on the same roster. I'm not sure they'll want to play with the Bullet Club connection so soon after the invasion incident though. I hope Balor doesn't run through Styles. Bad enough he's just lost a feud with Corbin, and about to be fed to Jobber Mahal.

Angle must have been planned to come back soon anyway, maybe at Survivor Series to team with The Shield. Otherwise, this is very sudden and weird.

Wonder what the deal is. Obviously hugely different situations for both wrestlers, but maybe if they both get cleared to return they can build a storyline around it.

This is all very weird. I heard two days ago about the meningitis outbreak meaning that a number of wrestlers would be missing but it seems very odd to throw kurt Angle in. Why not just bring in someone else from SD or NXT. Angle’s return match needs to be a big deal.

Would love it though if Bryan does get clearance in the future and we can have Angle v Bryan.

Bryan has to be a bit stupid to not see that his and Angle’s situations are different though. Hopefully his frequent twitter outbursts are storyline build up.

Unless WWE do a bait and switch and Angle gets taken out/run over before the main event and also has to be replaced...

Unless they haven’t sold the event out then I still don’t get putting Angle in. They hardly do any ppv buys anymore outside of wrestlemania and a little bit for the rumble due to the network so what do they gain by throwing Angle in with hardly any build up? There’s a number of people they could have used instead of Reigns, Orton or Samoa Joe is apparently ready to return.

Again with AJ and Finn. That seems a throwaway match as well. That’s always been a feud for the future with their bullet club history.

I feel duped about how 'big' Ring if Honor is, Cody, Bucks etc do a good job of making it seem bigger.

Average attendance this year 1,100. Love Cody but strawberry float sake actually arguing with Roman who draws is hilarious.

He's just looking to grab headlines, I doubt he believes a lot of what he's said recently. He's playing the heel.

Apparently Balor vs. Styles might be given a decent length. Rumours Angle was training for a Survivor Series return, which is why he's able to jump in at short notice. Curious to know if he was training to face a SD team led by Shane or Bryan though (some of his tweets seem like such a work). If it was Shane, possibly that might have been in doubt too, apparently he's injured. Be interesting to see him on SD this coming week. Unless they were just planning to add him to this bizarre Shield feud?

I'm so excited about tomorrow night!

There was widespread belief that shield would lose the 3 on 5 match and it would set up a survivor series match. Maybe the plan was to bring in Angle for that. If so I still think that makes using angle now a big mistake. What will their surprise be for survivor series? Oh my God Roman Reigns is Back!
