Well that explains the jinder mahal title loss. #planschange. I think it would have been better for cena to have been a surprise for the show either to interfere or added to the team on the show. It’s not like they rely on ppv sales anymore so what’s to lose? I believe the event is sold out so they don’t need to shift tickets either.

Jason Jordan really sticks out like a sore thumb in that match, hope he's allowed to put in a performance.

Has Jinder Mahal failed a Wellness Policy, or will he win it back again ahead of the Indian Tour. Just seems all very last minute.

Maybe Jason Jordon will cost Team RAW and turn on Kurt Angle.

I think they should take a step back and look at the Jinder situation and not mess around with their biggest title too much. The best thing to do is set him after the US title, he can be the big face beating the heel(Corbin) for the title on the India tour and when they return to normality after the tour they have the perfect foreigner heel character holding the US title and berating America every week.

Some sloppy editing in the opening segment of SmackDown. I'm guessing the crowd booed the lack of Daniel Bryan and then started chanting for him. Stands out like a sore thumb whatever the reason.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have both been sent home from the rest of the WWE European Tour. Shame for those in Nottingham, Italy and Germany.

Inappropriate actions deemed detrimental to WWE is one rumour; going into business for themselves during the SmackDown Tapings being another.

What did they do in the Smackdown tapings?

If it was during the show it didn't appear to make the air. Was nothing out of the ordinary in the spoilers either. They came out and cut a promo on Shane/New Day, before Zayn lost to Kofi. Maybe they shouted something to people in the crowd. Owens did appear to be saying something to the crowd in the aisleway but it wasn't audible.

They have 3 SmackDown's after SS for Jinder to reclaim the title before their tour of India begins on the 8th. The venue is the Indira Gandhi Stadium, which should make for an impressive sight filled up. Would have made for another unique Network special too but oh well.

The final PPV of 2017 on the 17th is also a SmackDown show.

Yeah I find it really odd that they aren’t putting certain shows on the network. Seems very odd. I can’t imagine putting the india show on the network would damage attendance at the stadium.

Pro Wrestling Sheet wrote:Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn went against a creative directive given to them before SmackDown last night and we’re told it contributed to them being sent home.

Multiple sources tell us Sami and Kevin were supposed to “feed” for New Day following Zayn vs. Kofi Kingston yesterday, but for some reason they didn’t follow directions and left the ring.

The PWTorch glossary of insider wrestling terms defines “feeding” as: “The heel’s role during a babyface comeback where he runs at the babyface only to be repeatedly fended off, with the hope that the series of bumps by the heel will generate positive fan heat for the babyface.”

Owens hit the ring as soon as the match ended and attacked Kofi as planned. However, he and Sami quickly bailed from the ring. New Day then stood waiting, same for the sound crew who didn’t play anyone’s music, and the segment ended awkwardly when the two wrestlers seemingly went off script by not taking their planned beating afterward.

Since publishing the story on Owens/Zayn being sent home, multiple sources reached out saying the duo have been slightly difficult to work with lately and seem unhappy backstage.

It’s worth noting that they were both close with recently fired writer Jimmy Jacobs and Neville (who hasn’t been heard from since walking out).

They've had a number of scoops that have turned out to be true recently sonmaybe there's something in this.

Punishing the fans more than anything though.

Imagine if Zayne and Owens, and next year Daniel Bryan, went back to ROH/New Japan! Along with probably Neville whenever his contract runs out, there are a few more big names I could see leaving if WWE continue to frustrate and misuse great talent, the likes of Rusev, Ziggler, Gallows and Anderson to name a few all could walk. If they all ended up in the one place, ideally it’d be ROH with their current amazing roster , WWE would have some serious competition on their hands! Even Stephen Amell has jumped to ROH for a show this month! And just to stick it to Vince and Hunter CM Punk would probably pop up too!

So Smackdown:

I'm so glad they got the title off Jinder. His run has murdered the WWE title scene. If they put it back on him that will be an even bigger joke. The guy has no business being in that spot. Looking forward to AJs promo next week.

I've listen to Tazz's thoughts and I agree with him that no way was the plan for them to get back into the ring. It doesn't make any kind of sense, how it played out is how it always played out.

My bet is this will lead to an angle where they go rogue at Survivor Series, a bit like Awesome Truth.

That was my take when I started hearing about this. I think it’s wwe trying to blur the lines a bit between reality and fiction.

I went to the Nottingham show last night. Can confirm that Owens and Zayn were not there :(

Got AJ Styles and Nakamura (and Jinder) in the ring together for the main event though :datass:

It's a shame for the live fans though as the roster isn't exactly stellar right now on either show and Owens is one of the most enjoyable to watch.

Seems Jinder won't win the title back before or on the India tour, he's going to wrestle Triple H instead. That's a pretty good trade off for the fans out there (as dreadful a match as it'll be)

Seen as it's HHH and not an expected talent to be tied up it could be a misdirection I suppose.

Maybe Vince woke up one day and realised this Jinder experiment has been a monumental flop. Even the people in India apparently don't give a gooseberry fool as when he was champion WWE Network subs decreased in the country.
