In the past couple of weeks Cena has made Roman Reigns and Baron Corbin look ridiculous. The new idea seems to be 'doesn't give a strawberry float' John Cena.

Paige sure likes to keep interesting company...

The girl on the left is Seth Rollins' ex girlfriend (loves a bit of the ol' Nazi paraphernalia and was terminated by WWE because of it).

Cena was bang-on and his side of the promo was excellent. Reigns was clearly a bit shellshocked but pulled it round toward the end of his part. I don't see this as Cena trying to bury or undermine Roman though, rather he/WWE is trying to use this feud to get the best out of him because he's so rarely been working close to his potential.

Hopefully that's the plan for this feud, and I hope it builds to Mania because of the most likely feuds for Reigns this looks the best option other than a Shield triple threat.

No Mercy looking like it could be one of the best cards of the year. Good that they're doing Cena/Reigns and Brock/Strowman already, that's part of what made the attitude era work, there was no waiting around with feuds because they couldn't wait in case people turned to WCW while waiting. Today they shouldn't wait because people end up not caring about the same old matches and just turn away full stop.

I like Cena but the camera cuts to him laughing or pulling a wacky face at the crowd after every line his opponent fires back with are annoying. I know he loves the old "lol fourth wall breaks" stuff but this was possibly the only time I've seen Roman get a little fired up and I still can't maintain interest because Cena's reactions make the entire thing look like he's just taking the piss.

I'm glad they didn't ignore that Reigns' gripe with Cena is exactly the same gripe everyone else has had with him forever. It's got boring to be honest, whoever feuds with Cena says exactly the same thing.

Meltzer said the promo was scripted.

Cena is also taking another break hence why the match is happening at No Mercy. But he is expected to come back on Smackdown and beat Jinder. So we stuck with Jinder as champ for a few more months sadly.

Brock will not be defending the title again this year after No Mercy. Idea scenario would be for Heyman to turn on Brock and go with Braun. But seems Vince is insistent on Brock vs Roman for Wrestlemania next year.

So looks like they'd have nothing for Joe, who'd be perfect on Smackdown. Roode looking likely he's a face, Smackdown lacks any credible heels. Jinder is a joke champion. KO and Rusev have been booked poorly. Corbin is a joke. They could turn Orton because he is so boring as a face. But his matches will be the same.

I think he could do with a few months in NXT before joining the main roster, his mic work is obviously terrible.
He does a great Swan-ton bomb though :slol: :fp:

He's a bellend, but his commentary was decent. Who Will they get to replace him?

I wonder if this was a way to make it look as if he's going out on his own terms and in a few months this leads to Mauro Ranallo returning to SD?

Tom Phillips is supposed to be being groomed as the Michael Cole replacement (he wants to do more behind the scenes stuff) so he'd then go to RAW.

It must also be a pain in the arse to keep having Corey Graves do RAW and then 45 minutes of 205 Live the next night, whereas if he was on SD he'd already be there.

And then there's Nigel McGuinness, but it's probably too early for him.

Good riddance.

The obvious thought would be to move Mauro back, but he would have to be lead and that role is taken blandy boy Phillips.

I would even say move my boy D Bry to commentary to add a little colour. He's knowledgeable and an entertaining talker. Saying that, I want him to do everything. He's my fave.
