RAW really hasn't had a lot of luck lately. For me the quality has dipped since Joe was injured, then Jeff Hardy. Nia Jaxx's time off (which is apparently why we're suffering a Banks / Fox feud), and now this viral outbreak. Wouldn't it be great if it was all a work and TLC turned into a zombie-invasion leading to a Halloween Havoc themed Raw and SD...

"The Powers that be"

That is such a WCW late 1999 line.

I dunno, something tells me Angle is getting beaten up before the match in a mysterious attack.

Great match, James completely deserving of that spot.

What on earth does long-haired guy have on his forehead? Why is he so annoyingly distracting.

The commentators trying to put over Survivor Series as the one time of the year RAW takes on SmackDown after AJ Styles has just faced Finn Balor.

A bit of a horrific mess really. Some great spots, that shot with the chairs was amazing, but between spots it felt lifeless. Angle coming back out was really predictable, I noticed Strowman cradled Kurt's neck, what a superstar. I kinda wish he'd changed clothes and dropped his straps on his way back out. It was nice to see him get some solo suplex time, because he often seemed to be cheerleading when they were all together. I kinda feel like Kane's a Big Show substitute to fill the odd Raw main event match with Strowman.

It's kinda hard to appreciate after the technical perfection of Styles & Balor, but it was sporadically enjoyable.

Balor's top rope foot stop landing right on top of Style's stomach. Bloody hell

I'm positive Michael Cole gave away the result of Kane and Strowman having a bust up during the main event introductions.

“Braun Strowman simply said “Kane will regret returning”...Kurt, Kurt Angle - my mistake....”

The horribly forced, out-of-nowhere RAW vs Smackdown feud again :fp: Utterly pointless but last year's Survivor Series was brilliant.

Yeah the problem is that it rarely works because it goes against the principle of wrestling. In wrestling you are supposed to favour one side over another. But they create a fake rivalry between SD and Raw when in fact you watch or following both. Have matches made up of faces and heels on both teams leaving you to want to support each team. And in all it means nothing. The winners get nothing, there’s nothing in it other than bragging rights. Wait that’s a great ppv name :fp:

The only thing I think they should do is have one Raw v SD match at SS and have some reward at play, maybe the winning GM or commissioner whoever is running the show that week gets to draft someone from the other show, nxt or sign a free agent.

One of the great things about Shane McMahon/Kevin Owens is that it actually built over many months. Survivor Series is just forcing something because 'Oh, the concept of the PPV now dictates it'. Why should anyone give a gooseberry fool about a RAW vs SmackDown feud when there's been no animosity between the two shows whatsoever. Where's the logic in Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan allowing AJ Styles to wrestle on a RAW PPV less than 24 hours earlier? Or AJ Styles praising the RAW locker room and saying how great it was to see old friends and faces again on Talking Smack? Or John Cena being a free agent? Or both Michael Cole and Cory Graves now calling SmackDown tonight as well? Or people like Renee Young and Charly Caruso also being on both shows?

Are SmackDown now the bad guys? Why are they randomly attacking the RAW roster? What's at stake? Why does it all matter?

We're not talking a Game of Thrones script, just some basic narrative reasoning. WWE have created a great moment with SmackDown invading RAW (which admittedly has happened countless times before over the last decade), but no cohesion as to why it's really taking place.

I'm guessing Reigns and Owen being out changed the writing.

Shane was scheduled to appear on Smackdown.

I would have preferred if the Miz and Owens got together with a group against the faces.

Aside from the bizarre Styles situation, I kinda liked the invasion. I didn't like Balor losing to Kane though. And I say that as someone who likes Kane.
