I noticed that the Brock Lesnar guy didn’t get on the right ringside seats this year. He was on the ramp at mania and is on the wrong side (hard cam side) of the ring at raw.

Backlash is only one week after the Rumble so they haven’t got long to put another card together, so a few non finishes/controversy at the RR seems likely.

I don’t think they have actually said what the winner of the Rumble gets.

Nice to have the asshole chant back again.

No I don’t think so. It’s strange when it was originally announced it sounded like one of those special events that had no impact on current wwe storylines but it’s rapidly becoming clear that this may be different.

Yep I also think Reigns is winning at the biggest Rumble. I don't see them giving up on Reigns. We are 4 years into this now and Vince shows no signs of backing down despite Reigns really doing nothing to ignite business.

Raw was good. I’m saying good because it will be better than probably every raw for the next year. However really it was a bit disappointing. The problem with the raw after mania is you now expect something big, something major storyline wise. When you don’t really get that it just feels a bit flat. Even though they can’t always have a return as big and shocking as Brock Lesnar. As a show though it was still watchable throughout.

The commentary though is becoming woeful. They constantly mishear or misunderstand each other and don’t appear to be on the same wave lengths. Coach seems to try to educate Graves all the time when Graves is the most up to speed on the product, storylines and the gimmicks. Twice coach last night felt the need to tell graves that they were hearing soccer chants when they were singing ‘hey Bayley’ and ‘walk with elias’. Even saying something along the lines of ‘you may not know this Corey but this is a well known soccer chant like you may hear at Barcelona’.

Edit. I should add that it was interesting to see Paige retire. You assume this was planned as she said she wanted to do it in New Orleans which made her comment on camera at wrestlemania look all the more uneasy that she would be in the women’s battle royal next year.

Bit of a strange ending to RAW; the show just kinda petered out in the last half hour. Just a bog standard 6 man tag, albeit with a returning Jeff Hardy.

It would have made more sense for hardy to have returned in the last segment to give it a boost. The miz and crew could have attacked Seth and Finn earlier. Angle could have made a 6 man tag match for later and told them that he had the perfect partner in mind for Seth and Finn, and left the audience hanging. They could have saved the interaction with bray and Matt for next week.

Can’t remember if they are allowed to compete in full bodysuits or just not at all. But either way I disagree with wwe going there at all.

Banks and bliss competed in Abu Dhabi last year but had to wear full bodysuits. It was good as I didn’t get turned on by a glimpse of an elbow.

Caught up with the highlights. I'm glad they've essentially retconned the mockery of the tag team division, but putting the two best teams (Revival & Gallows and Anderson) against each other in the first round makes you feel like they still have no idea what they're doing. I'm assuming (/hoping) Gallows and Anderson might be heading to SD via the shake-up next week, which would explain that.

Reigns' speech was interesting, he literally planted the seed he only lost because of Lesnar politicking, and signing a new deal. It'll be curious when it eventually all comes out. I wonder how much Dana's comments being picked up by the mainstream media affected anything, if that was always the plan, or if changes were made because of it. I also wonder how long this new deal is. I could see it being short term, six months or so, dropping the title to Reigns and/or putting Lashley over.

A predictable set of call ups, even No Way Jose, he seemed to follow the path Elias did to a call up.

I liked the crowd and how funny the show was. Detested even in the highlights we heard multiple times about the zany after 'Mania Raw crowd.

I'm curious to see SmackDown, I assume we'll see Asuka there. It seemed emotional for both Asuka and Charlotte, and I loved the match, but I still cannot bare the finish. Out of the entire roster, she needed it least. I genuinely think even Rousey needed it more, and it would have been a huge build up. Charlotte is literally the female Reigns, and I hate it. We're clearly building up to Rousey vs Charlotte, and I can't see Charlotte losing a single match until it happens, unless via circumstance (to drop a title in order to move a roster). Also, am I the only one who was disappointed Rousey didn't apply the arm bar to Steph's other arm, resulting in her having both arms in support for the next couple of Raw episodes?

Can't wait to see what happens with AJ and Nakamura too. I'm still very satisfied with the match, despite many people not being so. It reminded me a lot of their original match, AJ with the bad back, instead of Nakamura's arm bar into a Styles Clash we got a Kinshasa into one. I think it was two very smart people playing a long game. Anything they did in the ring would have been overshadowed by the nonsense pomp of that 'Mania.

I did very much enjoy 'Mania, but near enough everything felt inconsequential.

It was bloody freezing at the end! A couple of dudes behind us actually had a blanket over them!

I'm really tempted to go again. It's a big ask though as we will have a 5 year old this time and Mania is so long now it may be too much for him.

Jericho and Angle have been announced for that big Rumble.
