Good to see Ambrose finally accepted his hairline.

Explain to me why, if you were Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar, you wouldn't have exposed this as one big swerve at SummerSlam during the match rather than last night. Doing it now achieved....nothing. I mean just what was the whole point of this big ruse?

I was wondering this too. Maybe Brock is not leaving after Summerslam as some have rumoured and will work a mixed WWE and UFC schedule so they wanted to keep Heyman with Brock. Although if that was the case then they should have left the reveal until Summerslam as you say. I can't really see any reason to make the reveal now other than in WWE's eyes to make the crowd more sympathetic to Roman Reigns as the big bullies Heyman and Lesnar are playing mind games with him.

I know Live TV is a completely different beast from taped, but I think SoCal Val is better on commentary than Renee “OH!” Young on RAW.

I do think WWE should have her (or trial other women) to call the women’s matches exclusively.

So it looks like Summerslam is going to be another 7 hour slog including the pre-show stuff.

Somewhere, somehow, someone is sitting through the full 20 hours of WWE programming this week.

WWE has cancelled an Elias concert at the Gramercy Theater in New York due to low ticket sales and are instead now promoting it for SummerSlam. So if 7 hours and 15 matches wasn’t enough, there’s now a mini concert on the bill as well.

I rather liked her non-offensive alternative to shouting “Jesus Christ” on last Saturday’s episode... “Cheese and Crackers” indeed

WWE: Peyton Royce hits back at 'body shaming' Meltzer

I see Meltzer has been getting a bit of a pasting for some comments about Peyton Royce’s weight.

I think a lot of people within wrestling are just using it as their opportune moment to get their shots in, while wilfully choosing to ignore more important things (like the actions of the company they work for).

Meltzer looks ridiculous for commenting about her looks, and if he’s talking about her weight specifically he really looks ridiculous, but I’m not so sure if it wasn’t a jibe about her now having new boobs (and therefore weighing more).

Would he have said anything about someone like Charlotte Flair though, what with being friends with her Dad? Probably not.

Everyone looks like a hypocrite because everyone has a vested interest, but then thats par for the course in wrestling.

It sounded to me like he was referencing her boob job (her and Billie Kay both got one) but yeah it totally looked like a lot of WWE wrestlers were just using this as an opportunity to get digs in at Meltzer too rather than defending Royce.

Didn’t they just not long ago have another body shaming angle with Nia Jax and Mickie(again) too?

Yeah he was very clearly talking about her tits. Also it's hard to say this without sounding misogynistic but if a company is doing "sexy" promotional photos with their talent (which WWE has done with Royce) then it has to be fair game for industry critics to talk about how they look.

He seems genuinely upset by the whole thing but he was right to get a pasting about it. His immediate response to Royce was embarrassing, essentially saying 'No, no, you've got me wrong. You totally are an attractive woman.'

I keep forgetting the TakeOver's have moved an hour earlier too. I'll be around an hour behind, and unable to read what people are saying between matches, which is annoying. But I will be completely focused. The build up has been immense. Even with the unexpected injury to Black I found the 'Who Shot Mr. Burns' vignettes amusing. So many of the roster just all hanging around outside in the dark. I've loved the Dream and EC3 build up, a complete piss take of how pompous and ridiculous (but amazing) they both are. The Sane / Baszler build up has been decent too, especially that last shot in Kairi's match this week. I feel we'll finally see the rest of the 'MMA Horsewomen'. Looking forward to Cole and Ricochet, I think that might be my favourite of the lot. Of course Moustache Mountain and Undisputed Era will be a great match too. I still can't stop watching Kyle O'Reilly, he gives good face.

Her initial gimmick in NXT was basically a Poison Ivy thing.

Another quality Takeover show from NXT - it’s been one great match after the next.

That superkick to the neck from Adam Cold to Ricochet is going to get a lot of play for sure.

Even in the slow motion replay it looked like he broke his neck. Perfectly delivered. Easily my favourite match.

The Women's match was a close second for me. Possibly the best Women's match I've seen this year. Brilliant finish. I say this as a HUGE Asuka fan, but I think that might be the best Women's TakeOver match since Banks was in NXT. I've never been a fan of Baszler, but she's a great heel.

I'm probably on my own in regards to Ciampa / Gargano, I felt a little desensitised to the finish. It didn't have any of the impact of the prior matches finishes for me. It felt like they were going through the motions. Parts even felt a little stupid (trying to handcuff your opponent to the rope in a Last Man Standing Match? I get that it was a nod to a prior match, but surely that would just hold them up?). Not in any way suggesting it was bad, or that I didn't enjoy it, but it felt the weakest out of the four NXT matches they've had.

Miz needs to be a WWE Champion again (who would have said that a few years ago). Absolutely brilliant.

The Miz has been the most consistent performer for WWE for a long time. He really does deserve another run with the heavyweight title.
